The Little Mermaid: Disney's live-action will feature Halle Bailey as Ariel

The person responsible for giving life to the mermaid in the film will be Halle Bailey, R&B duo actress and singer Chloe vs. Halle.
The announcement was made on the duo's official profile on Twitter, with a photo of Ariel accompanied by the caption: “dream comes true…” (“Dream come true”, in free translation). towards the live action de The Little Mermaid, was confirmed Rob Marshall, who has already directed Memoirs of a Geisha (2005) e Chicago (2002). Other hires in The Little Mermaid
If Disney able to complete the other contracts of The Little Mermaid, Halle Bailey can join Awkwafina, who will give voice to the Wise, Jacob Tremblay, possible voice of the Flounder, and Melissa McCarthy, to be the villain Ursula. On the film's soundtrack, Lin-Manuel Miranda e Alan Menken will be responsible. The film is expected to revive songs from 1989, but will also receive new music.
Other details about The Little Mermaid were not disclosed, but the production must follow the same proposal of the film released in the late 80's.
