Nintendo shares plummet after investors realized the company doesn't own the Pokémon Company; also discover Big N's plans for the mobile market

A Nintendo been laughing for the last few weeks. At Japanese company shares had soared in the week of launch of Pokémon Go. This past Friday, however, the Big N reiterated that it will have a “limited gain” with the app, as they only control 32% of Pokémon Company shares.

after the officially announced on the company's website, the actions of Nintendo collapsed on Monday in 17%, at value of US$ 6,4 billion. What surprised investors, in fact, is not new.

Pokemon Go was created by Niantic in collaboration with Pokemon Company. In no official trailer, in the app itself or even in the accessory Pokémon Go Plus there is a direct reference to Nintendo, although it's easy to confuse the two companies, as their products are often marketed together. The Pokémon Company, for example, makes most of its games for the Nintendo.

Nintendo and DeNA will bring news later this year

The Japanese company also has an initiative to smartphone games. This is a partnership with DeNA. The first application of the two companies was the Miitomo, a type of social network where people use miis (people dolls) to talk to each other. Unfortunately, the app still not available in Brazil.

The partnership will bring more applications, such as Animal Crossing e fire emblem. Unlike Pokémon Go, these upcoming games for screen will bring even more market value for Nintendo. Go, in fact, serves to show an example of how the Japanese company can remain relevant in the world of smartphones.

Pokémon Go still doesn't have a date to arrive in Brazil

Pokemon Go was launched in the early hours of this Monday in Hong Kong. There is still no date set for the game to arrive in our country. The application is already in practically all of Europe, in a part of Oceania, Asia and North America.

Yesterday the app was on tests for some countries in Latin America, as well as in Turkey. The same had already happened in Brazil shortly after the game's release in the United States. The Brazilian server has been around for a week, but it is still blocked in the country by Niantic.
