Although it was released for arcades in the 70's the Snake, the famous snake game, became a worldwide fever in the mid-90s when the Nokia incorporated the game into their cell phones. The first model to feature the game was the Nokia 6110. In Brazil many people (including me) remember this game in the legendary Nokia 3310 – extremely successful model that even got a new version last year.
The classic snake game got a makeover
A HDM Global, the brand that is currently responsible for launching smartphones from Nokia, announced a new version of the snake game, but in a totally updated way, betting on important technologies today. There are two versions of the game that run directly through the Facebook and use features of the device's camera.
The first version is snake mask. This first filter involving augmented reality adds a pixelated snake mask on its head. This mask interacts directly with your movements, such as head movement and even a huge tongue is displayed when you show yours.

The second version is Snake AR game, which is also based on augmented reality. The stage where the snake will be walking will literally be where you point your device's rear camera.

To promote the launch of this new phase of the snake game, HDM Global invited youtuber Matt Keck. In the video he appears playing the version snake mask.
It is important to note that both games are still showing a totally unstable performance, but if you want to test it is very easy. Filters are not yet listed in the in-app Facebook. The only way to access it at the moment is by clicking on the corresponding links in each game – remembering that the access has to be done by smartphone.
