In its line of mice, the Logitech announces the G402 as the world's fastest gaming mouse, or rather an ultra-fast FPS gaming mouse.
Its futuristic design, the presence of programmable buttons and its slogan caught my attention. As a hardcore FPS game fan (Halo and Battlefield are some examples), I was curious.
Can a mouse make a difference in an online multiplayer match? Is it worth investing in equipment of this level to play? Find out in the next paragraphs of this review.
Design
The mouse G402 Hyperion Fury It has a futuristic design, which follows the brand's new standard. It is larger than conventional mice and has a rubbery texture, with shiny plastic accents.
On the right side, we have a rubbery texture that helps the mouse grip. On the left side, the change buttons DPI (dots per inch), buttons to assist during games and 3 lights that indicate which DPI speed is selected.
In total there are 8 buttons, all programmable through Logitech software. The cable is long, measuring 2,13 meters in total, but it is not covered with mesh, like some gaming mouse models. However, the material seems to be quite sturdy.
Software
O Logitech Gaming Software, which also controls the G430 headset that we tested, is the most pleasant surprise of this mouse. It is very complete, simple and intuitive.
It is possible to create profiles, program the keys and save the profiles on the computer or even on the mouse itself.
Furthermore, the with It also recognizes the games installed on your computer, allowing you to customize the keys with game commands and save the custom profile. So, when playing you don't have to configure keys and more keys!

The user can also choose up to five sensitivity levels (DPI) and switch between them at game time. the mouse goes from 240 to 4000 DPI. With this feature you have much more flexibility within an FPS game, the type of game for which the mouse is intended, regardless of the class you choose.
To achieve such speed, the company combines the optical sensor with the accelerometer: when the sensor does not follow the speed of movement, the accelerometer comes into play.
you can play from Sniper and aim more precisely at enemies, with 250 DPI, and move in the blink of an eye (4000 DPI), whether playing as Assault, Support, or Engineer.
Within the Logitech program, there are also mouse movement speed tests, and a heat map, which shows the most used keys by the user during a given period.
And finally, you can still change the lighting settings of the mouse, choosing the brightness level of the “G”, from Logitech, which is on the top of the mouse, as well as adding a pulsation effect.
And playing, is it worth it?
The mouse was tested in first-person shooter games, the well-known FPS games, a category where it stands out, as it claims to be the “fastest in the world”. As I said in the previous topic, it goes from 240 to 4000 DPI, and that makes it really ideal for this type of game.
A button below the DPI level indicator lights also helps you change speed in a snap. When pressed, it changes the mouse's DPI to the lowest configured value, thus providing agility in speed changes, perfect for playing Sniper.
Em Battlefield 4 the game recognized all commands previously recorded in the Logitech software, so it is not necessary to change the settings within the game. Check out a small demo:
Conclusion
O G402 It becomes a good choice for casual gamers, and even for those who take games more seriously because of its good construction, comfort, high performance, style and interesting customization options. It can be found in retail stores for less than R$200,00 and has a 2-year warranty with technical support in Brazil.
