151 Android Apps You Should Uninstall Now

There are thousands of apps for Android, right? As a way to apply scams and make a profit, many people are launching scam apps, which serve as bait to sign people up for services that generate profit. But many times, this is not even noticed by the users of Android.

Recently, a list of 151 apps for Android which are great baits for anyone using this operating system. But without doing a search on the internet, you can tell how this works on your cell phone with Android and of course, how to avoid this? What are Scam Apps?

Also called pishing scam, alluding to the word “fishing” (fishing), these Android apps are used as a real lure to sign you up for SMS services that generate revenue for their developers. Generally, these scam apps are “disguised” as simple apps like keyboards, QR code readers, etc.

After the installation is done, then you are asked to enter your phone number and even your email address. However, as soon as they are opened, the scam apps have already captured your location and IMEI (unique phone code).

After going through the input fields, the apps can still work (but often, they don't deliver what they promise), and with your data in hand, the developers then sign you up for SMS programs that are paid.

If for some reason you have already recharged your phone number and there was an outstanding amount on a service that you did not know about, you have probably been a victim of scam apps. The problem is even greater if you own a line that is postpaid, where charges are made after use.

Android apps are bait

Despite all the work of Google to prevent these scam apps from being available on the Google Play, developers end up acting to be approved.

And as we said, there is a false promise that the application will help users in some way, whether through customization in the cell phone system or even a simple tool in everyday life. Thus, when entering some information that convinces the Android user to carry out the installation, the scam is applied.

Needless to say, due to being extremely popular, the Android ends up bringing a bigger problem to its users. Day after day, more and more applications for Android are being released on Google Play with focus in pishing scam. And recently, a list with more than 150 apps was released, where all the names listed are highly dangerous for those who have them installed.

List shows apps you should uninstall right now

In total, there are 151 scam apps that were on the Google Play Store and at the same time, being sources of profit for ill-intentioned people. Remembering that just uninstalling will not solve the problem. Everything has already been removed from the Android app store.

Important: the “TrueCallerID" is not the same as it is still available in the app store for Android do Google. Probably, developers specialized in Phishing scam were using a similar name to get people to download.

How to stay safe when using an Android phone

One way to have problems using apps for Android is always to do a search on your own Google Play Store and check out what people who have already done an installation are saying about it. Generally, if the rating is low, it's not even worth putting this on your phone, as you'll just spend your data plan and still run the risk of falling victim to people who develop scam apps.

Another important tip is to always stay within the Play Store. Among all that can cause problems for your cell phone with Android, a good part ends up being published outside the official store of Google precisely by the rules adopted by the company that developed its operating system.

Finally, we always advise you not to believe in “miracle solutions” offered by apps. Sometimes it's worth paying for a premium version of apps to Android than taking the risk of being a victim of pishing scam.
