New rumors about the Apple Glasses have once again made headlines around the world. This time the website AppleInsider released a new patent that highlights the new technologies that can be used by Apple's AR glasses. According to the information available, the new gadgets will be able to project images directly onto the retina of the eyes, without the need for any kind of screen.
In the disclosed patent, the Apple states that having a screen right in front of the eyes can be somewhat uncomfortable and disorienting, because the user assimilates that he is seeing everything through a simple screen. Side effects of prolonged use are also highlighted and range from eyestrain, to headaches and nausea. With the new technology all these points are circumvented.

Although the news has only been revealed now, it looks like Apple has been working on it for at least four years, judging by the year this patent was filed, which dates back to January 2017. “Direct retinal projector”, the document also reveals another technology that will be able to know where the user is looking, making use of mirrors to reflect light more accurately.
Although the description of the technology has appeared, it is still unclear what design will be adopted by Apple. Rumors indicate that the Apple Glasses will be officially announced in 2022, for a price of US$ 499. However, it's all mere speculation.
It is not the first time

Since the manufacture of Apple Glasses came to light, countless times the internet saw rumors related to the new apple device emerge. At the end of last year, for example, a new patent application by the Apple Glasses revealed lenses that adjust to ambient lighting, selectively dimming real-world brightness to enhance the image generated by the gadget.
Another patent appeared in early 2021, depicting a feature where Apple Glasses automatically unlocks other Apple gadgets. This is a feature that many w already have, serving as a secure remote authentication device.
Intel has already tried

All this news released by AppleInsider, in fact, is not that new. In 2018, the Intel informed that he would be working on a smart glasses capable of sending visual information directly to the retina, without risk of blur. O Vaunts was being built with the design of an ordinary pair of glasses.
At the time, the technology worked as follows: a low-power laser, positioned on the right side of the glasses, emitted a monochromatic image in red on the holographic reflector of the right lens. This reflector then displayed an image in 440×150 resolution directly on the user's retina.
Despite all the efforts, shortly afterwards the company announced that it would be abandoning the project and, since then, no news about Vaunt has emerged again. For us tech fans, we can only hope that Apple has better luck on its journey.
