Apple launches iPhone 14 with new cameras and unprecedented security features

iPhone 14 and 14 Plus

In terms of hardware, for the first time in history we've had a sharper split in device specs. While the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus board the chipset A15 Bionic with one 5-core GPU, the same processor present in the predecessor line, the models 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max count on the new A16 Bionic. On the front, the Apple also brings news, with a new 12 MP TrueDepth camera with autofocus. Thinking of also bringing improvements in color rendering, the manufacturer also introduced a technology which it calls “Photonic Engine”. And for those who love recording videos, the new iPhone 14 also receive a new stabilization mode called action mode, which uses all sensors, giving a gimbal firmness, allowing greater stability while recording.

Both models arrive with the iOS 16, which offers a revamped lock screen along with new communication, sharing and intelligence features. In terms of visuals, the devices will be sold in Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple and Red. They are also protected from common spills and accidents, as well as being water and dust resistant.

iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max

In addition, the company promises a very energy efficient panel, with down to as low as 1 Hz in order to save energy.

For those looking for greater processing capacity and speed during use, the Pro do iPhone 14 become the best bets, as they rely on the A16 Bionic Processor, created by the Apple and manufactured in a four-nanometer process, which increases energy efficiency. The six-core CPU includes two high-performance cores that use 20% less energy and four efficiency cores that use a third of competitors' chips.
