Learn how to create sticker packs on WhatsApp (and share them!)

Whether it’s photos of your pet or funny selfies of your friends, you can make your conversations more fun by creating a personalized sticker pack to use on WhatsApp. See the step-by-step guide

The stickers (or “stickers”) have become a fun and creative way to communicate in Whatsappp. In addition to the official packs, you can create your own custom stickers with photos, memes, art or any image you want. In this article, you will learn step by step how to create stickers, add them to a personalized pack on WhatsApp and share it with your friends.

How to create a sticker on Whatsapp 

Open your WhatsApp and choose a chat (you can open a chat with yourself if you prefer). Now in the message field, tap the sticker icon.

Then choose the option "To create".

Then, choose an image from your device's gallery or take a photo with the camera.

Choose one of the available options on the displayed screen, then:

  • Tap the icon indicated by blue arrow to add stickers or emojis to your sticker
  • Tap the icon indicated by yellow arrow to add text to your sticker
  • Tap the icon indicated by green mushroom to draw on your sticker.

If you don't want to edit the sticker, just tap on the icon indicated by red arrow to send the sticker.

Now that the sticker appears in the chat, tap on it and choose the option “Add to favorites”, so it will be easier to use it to create a pack with your favorite stickers.

Create a sticker pack

Tap and hold a sticker in the sticker tray or tap a sticker in the conversation. Then choose the option under “Add to sticker pack”.

Select the sticker pack you want or tap "Young". If you have never created a package before, the option to enter a name for a new package will appear automatically.

To create a new sticker pack, enter a pack name, then tap "To save".

Done! With the package created, now just repeat the process for other stickers and add them to your packages as you prefer!

Share your sticker pack with friends

Once you’ve created and imported a sticker pack, you can share it with your friends. To do so, simply open an individual or group chat and tap the sticker icon in the message field. Then, tap the sticker pack icon you created in the tray at the bottom.

Now, tap on the three dots icon located to the right of the sticker pack folder and then tap on the “Send” option.

Done! Now your sticker pack can be accessed via messages and downloaded by any group contact or person you send it to.
