A British construction company is designing the first “suspended pool" of the world. Named "Sky pool"(sky pool, in free translation), it will be 25 meters long and will be suspended on the 10th floor, between two luxury buildings.

The engineering feat, to be built in the Embassy Gardens, will be 3 meters deep (with a water depth of 1,2 meters) and will be made from 20 centimeters thick glass, with the help of aquarium designers.

The pool will allow residents to swim between the two buildings to enjoy the common area, which includes a rooftop bar, spa and even one orange grove. If they prefer, residents can also use a walkway to walk between the blocks.

“My vision for Sky Pool stemmed from a desire to push the limits of construction and engineering capability. I wanted to do something that had never been done before,” said Sean Mulryan, president and CEO of the Ballymore Group, responsible for the project. “The pool experience will be truly unique, making the resident feel like they are floating through the air in central London.”

But hurry, as apartment prices start at the trifle of 602,000 British pounds (about R$3.299.002,00).
