Watch the beautiful tribute to Satoru Iwata at the 2016 Game Developers Choice Awards

This Wednesday (16), during the Game Developers Choice Awards, another tribute was paid to the eternal gamer Satoru Iwata. Satoru, the former president and CEO of Nintendo, died prematurely in July last year at the age of 55 after a battle with cancer.

The animation was done by Raber Umphenour and David Hellman, while the music was written by Shawne Benson. Chris Kohler was the story consultant for this project.

However, what many admire when remembering him was his passion and kindness. He really loved games and was almost universally loved. In the gaming industry, with its constantly changing technical and political landscape, it's almost unheard of. – Forbes

Undoubtedly one of the most iconic names in the gaming world, it's hard to watch the video without getting emotional.
