Today is the opening day of CES 2024 to the general public and, after publicizing its releases for the gamer market, the ASUS revealed new notebooks that serve simpler consumers to those who need high performance to make their deliveries.

Zenbook Duo 2024

Big news from CES 2024 da ASUS, the Taiwanese company announced its “first 14-inch ASUS Lumina OLED dual-screen notebook”. The two displays are unified by a hinge that expands the viewing area to 19,8 inches and allows use in different modes: traditional, vertical (book style), and also in dual mode so that people on different sides of a table can see the same content.

A ASUS claims that the model has screens with touch support that can reach 3K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. Artists will be able to take advantage of the ASUS Pen 2.0 to draw directly on the screen with total control and precision.
An interesting detail is on the keyboard: coupled via PogoPins or connected via Bluetooth, this backlit accessory can be used both on the Zenbook Duo 2024 as well as on smart TVs with Bluetooth support. There is also a virtual keyboard that appears on one of the screens, with the touchpad integrated.

O Zenbook Duo 2024 will hit the market with a Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and integrated Intel Arc graphics cards. ASUS confirms support for artificial intelligence features via Copilot, but the keyboard will not have that special shortcut to activate Windows AI as seen in releases from other companies. The notebook with two screens will hit the market with up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of internal storage via PCIe SSD.
Measuring 14 millimeters thick, the notebook also features two Thunderbolt 4.2 ports (USB-C type), headphone jack, HDMI 2.1 and two more traditional USB-A ports. Its battery has a capacity of 75Wh and, as ASUS mentioned, it may only start to present problems after 1200 charge cycles.

TUF Gaming F16

Known for having military resistance to last for many years, ASUS announced the TUF Gaming F16 with a 16-inch OLED screen with 2.5K quality (2560×1600) and 165Hz refresh rate. The response time is 3 milliseconds and the ASUS confirmed that it will be launched with graphics cards from NVIDIA's GeForce line (up to the 4060 series).
The model, with a strong structure, follows certification MIL-STD-810H, which requires the device to continue operating in extreme temperatures (colder and hotter), in addition to undergoing shock, vibration and altitude tests. There is also a filter to prevent dust from entering the fans and four hot air outlets to balance performance.

The specifications also promise to increase the performance of games and applications: the TUF Gaming F16 will hit the market with a processor Intel Core i9 de 13th generation, in addition to also having a dual DDR5 RAM memory system with a maximum speed of 4800MHz. ASUS refrained from talking about the model's maximum amount of RAM, so we can only wait for more information.
The model's camera will be able to make video calls in HD quality, in addition to the model also supporting Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos for better audio output. Finally, the battery, recharged via a USB-C port, has a capacity of 90Wh and should work for more than three hours before the model has to go back to the socket.
TUF Gaming A16

Another model that hits the market with a 16-inch screen is the TUF Gaming A16, which can be considered quite similar to the model we mentioned previously: its screen is also of the OLED type with support for displaying images and videos in 2.5K (2560×1600) quality, with a refresh rate of 165Hz and a response time of 3 milliseconds. The weight is 2,1 kilos.
Beyond military certification MIL-STD-810H, TUF Gaming A16 stands out for having one of the series' processors Ryzen 8000 da AMD. ASUS mentions in the press release that the gaming notebook will be launched with graphics cards GeForce RTX 4060, but here we will have artificial intelligence optimizations to increase performance.

Concluding the news, the ASUS S line models also received new features for the new year. After the launch of ASUS S 13 OLED, now the brand is preparing to launch models with screens Lumina OLED 14 and 16 inches, both with 3K resolution (the 16″ will have 3.2K resolution) and a 120Hz refresh rate. About the battery: the new notebooks come with a 75Wh power supply and 97 fan blades to push hot air out. ASUS confirms that the two ASUS S OLED will hit the market with two USB-C ports supporting the Thunderbolt 4.0 standard, HDMI 2.1 input and two more USB-A connections.
