Bomb in the world of technology. An update of WhatsApp lets you know when a sent message has been read by the other person.

The novelty reignites an old discussion about the exchange of messages most used in Brazil. After many fights between friends, couples, colleagues and boyfriends, because of the delay in replying to messages, it will now be possible to know in a simple and clear way if the other person has read the message.

Until now, the rule was as follows: a tick next to the message meant she came out of the cell phone she sent. Already the two ticks indicated that it reached the recipient. In groups, only a little sign played this role.

What's new is that the two ticks now turn blue when the message has been read. O "check" (or little arrow as some prefer to call it) already existed to warn that a voice message had been heard or a video recorded within the application had been seen, but now it applies to all messages.

The update started today and is valid for those who use the iOS system of iPhones, as well as for cell phones with the Android or Windows Phone platform. The change comes a few months after WhatsApp was purchased by Facebook. Messenger, the social network's messaging app, already had a similar function.

To make sure your version is the most current, go to the app store of Windows PhoneGoogle Play ou App Store!

reading time

In addition to knowing if the person has already read the message, it is possible to know the exact time of reading. For those who use Android or Windows Phone devices, just place your finger on the message and hold and an “i” will appear at the top of the screen. Click on top and WhatsApp displays the reading time. For those who use iPhone, just swipe from right to left of the screen.

* Heads up: the new features had some glitches during our tests today, especially at reading time. These are probably bugs that will soon be fixed by WhatsApp programmers!
