Update your Nokia with the new Belle (Symbian) version

The update can be done by the computer, through the program Nokia Suite 3.3, with the device connected to the PC via USB. For now, only unlocked devices can receive the OS. O Nokia Belle brings a series of novelties and improvements, in addition to a visual renovation, with an even simpler, faster and more intuitive interface. The organization of applications, shortcuts and widgets was redesigned to make handling more practical. The home screens, which are now six, received an update to bring the most accessed items faster. Shortcuts, which were previously laid out on the side, can now be arranged freely. Widgets such as the music player, radio, clock or social media status have also gained a new look.

A notification bar was developed on the home screen with the main shortcuts. Just swipe down from the top of the screen to access incoming messages, missed calls and to-dos. Through this function, it is also possible to quickly activate and deactivate important functions such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi/WLAN or data network.

When accessing the device menu, another change is noticed. There is a new concept for viewing applications: unlike previous versions, in which the downloaded contents were located in a folder called “applications”, now they are displayed on the main menu screen. The web browser of Nokia Belle also gained a new interface, with an optimized menu and more dynamic and simple to use page management.

As part of the strategic partnership with ecosystem, Nokia Belle will also bring a series of productivity applications included. ecosystem^® Lync™ 2010 Mobile, Microsoft® PowerPoint® Broadcast, Microsoft® OneNote™, Microsoft® Document Connection, Microsoft® Office Mobile™ and Microsoft® System Center™ are the applications that provide full productivity support and will be available for download and installation for users who upgrade their devices to the Nokia Belle.
