Better Call Saul has double debut in Brazil

This one is for the fans of Breaking Bad.. The famous lawyer Saul Goodman, is now the main character of a series that tells his story. Everything takes place in the same city we already know and some characters have also returned to the screen. We can review Mike, the corrupt ex-cop who works for the mafia, and also tuco salamanca, the troubled drug dealer, among others. But the producers guarantee that Walter White e Jesse pinkman must not appear.

Rest assured, the text below is spoiler free. the plot of spin off tells the story of the rise and fall of the lawyer. At the beginning of the opening episode, Saul is seen in a supermarket or something with a mustache that is clearly a disguise. He is very worried, as if afraid that someone will recognize him. Then he shows up at home watching cassette tapes of his classic TV commercial, which gives the name to this new series, “Better Call Saul”.

In the sequence, a jump back is given, approximately 6 years, showing the beginning of Jimmy McGill's career, the character's real name, when he was still working as a public prosecutor.

Despite the series being receiving excellent reviews and a lot of praise, don't expect anything as good as Breaking Bad.. The original series was a masterpiece and as good as this one is, it will hardly be able to come close to the success that the previous one had. The lines and scenes are full of black humor and sarcasm in the style of S.aul. Some scenes are also hilarious, like tuco salamanca unintentionally setting up a court in the desert to judge some disaffected people, defining what punishment they deserve.
