How do I know if I've been blocked on WhatsApp?

There is no way to be 100% sure, but by gathering some clues you can conclude if you were blocked by someone on the WhatsApp. Here are some tips to know if you've been blocked:
- You no longer see last seen information in the conversation window with this contact;
- You no longer see updates made to the contact's profile picture;
- All messages you send to a contact who has blocked you will always have one tick (message sent) and never a second tick (message delivered);
- Any call you try to make will not go through.
If that's not enough, open the Web WhatsApp, and notice if the profile picture of the person who supposedly blocked you is gone, as indicated in the image below:
If you see all these indicators for a contact, it could mean that they are blocking you. However, the WhatsApp makes a point of intentionally leaving this ambiguous, to protect your privacy when blocking someone. This way, we can't tell if you've been blocked or not.
You can only guess, with 99% certainty, and that 1% is hope…
