Good and Cheap: Microsoft announces Lumia smartphones with excellent value for money

Microsoft today unveiled two new smartphones in the Lumia line for the low-end segment: the Lumia 435 and Lumia 532.

Microsoft today released two new smartphones from the Lumia line for the low-cost segment: the Lumia 435 and  Lumia 532. Smartphones come with the Windows Phone 8.1, latest operating system da Microsoft (with the denim update), Microsoft Office complete package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote), Outlook for email, front camera technology for Skype and video calling, location services, until 30GB free cloud storage in OneDrive, in addition to access to thousands of apps in the Windows Phone store.

One of the biggest advantages of this device is its memory. 1GB RAM (considered little in a smartphone Android, but sufficient on Windows Phone models, given system optimization). Another highlight, especially for the Brazilian market, is the availability of a of 2 chips, since it will have two versions, one Single SIM and other dual SIM. The internal memory of 8GB (expandable via Micro-SD) also deserves to be highlighted.

The main differences between the Lumia 532 and  Lumia 530 (already on sale in Brazil for the approximate price of R$300,00) are the 1 GB RAM memory (against 512 MB), the storage (8GB x 4GB) and the presence of a frontal camera, proving to be a superior device to its predecessor. O Lumia 532 will cost 79 Euros (about Real 250).

O Lumia 435 it was already in the news long before arriving in Brazil due to the gaffe committed by ANATEL that revealed images and data that should be kept confidential. But this only increased expectations of the device that promises to be the Lumia most affordable ever produced. O Lumia 435 (pictured above) has 4 inch LCD screen (480×800), processor 200GHz dual-core Snapdragon 1.2, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage (with microSD slot up to 128GB) and 1.560mAh battery. THE rear camera has 2 megapixels, while the rear carries a VGA sensor. Furthermore, the device has features like Live Folders, Apps Corner, and the Cortana assistant (available in select markets). The estimate is that it will be launched with a price of 69 euros (approximately Real 215).
