She's back! After spending 13 years under her father's tutelage, in a controversial process full of twists and turns that dragged on for years, Britney Spears returned to work on a new album, the first since the praised "Glory", launched almost a decade ago, in 2016, by Sony Music. At least that's what a source in the American magazine indicates. Globe, supposedly close to the singer.

According to the publication, Spears has already started composing and asking for songs for partners in the music business. Among the names is that of Elton John, who, according to rumors, is collaborating for a remake of the song “Tiny Dancer”, originally released by him in 1971. The new track is set to be produced by Andrew Watt and is scheduled to be released next month on Universal Music.
The new album would be a way for the pop star to take revenge on the years she spent under the legal control of her father, Jamie Spears, which the artist considered as an “abusive” process. Only in November last year, Britney managed to get rid of her father's guardianship, a fact that was widely celebrated by artists and close friends.
Also according to the tabloid, the star is willing to show the world that she is not just the "bubblegum pop" singer that many expect her to be. Songs from the upcoming album will discuss her ordeal, the publication claims. “Britney wasn't always opposed to making music. She was emotionally damaged by the way she was used to make money and was only allowed to perform in a specific style, and with cheesy songs that her father liked.”, wrote the publication.
In addition to new music, Spears is working on a memoir, for which she reportedly received $15 million from publisher Simon & Schuster. So far, however, it is unknown when the book and album should be released to fans and admirers of the singer. Therefore, we can only wait for more news about both and hope that they are released in the not so distant future.
