Call of Duty Next: Warzone 2, Multiplayer news and more

A Activision presented its first Call of DutyNext this Thursday (15th), presentation in which he revealed all the news for the future of the biggest shooter franchise in the world; among the novelties, we have the unprecedented gameplay of the multiplayer component of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, first impressions of Call of Duty Warzone 2 and the official disclosure of Call of Duty Warzone Mobile.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 | multiplayer

The event begins with the reveal of the Multiplayer of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, as was to be expected. The trailer reveals game modes inspired by Rainbow Six Siege, new underwater combat mechanics, and the return of the third-person camera, which first appeared in the franchise with the Modern Warfare 2 original from 2009.

The new modes revealed for the game are Invasion e prisoner rescue. Invasion is a mode that places 64 players on a large-scale map, in addition to including (for the first time in franchise history) characters controlled by artificial intelligence. prisoner rescue is a way inspired by Rainbow Six Siege, in which a team must rescue a prisoner from the enemy team's hands, who must protect the target at all costs.

O gunsmith, where players can build their weapons and introduced in the Modern Warfare 2019, also received several new features that expand the crafting mechanics. This year, players will have complete creative freedom to modify their weaponry and recreate weapons, even changing the caliber of an assault rifle.

A PlayStation members-only operator was also revealed. Oni is a samurai warrior and will be available to anyone who pre-orders the game through PlayStation Store.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0

The new Warzone, officially called Call of Duty Warzone 2.0, finally received new official details during the event. The first novelty was the map, and right away we can see that its scope is much greater than anything ever done within the franchise.

The map is made up of new and classic locations from the franchise, including maps like Quarry e Bus Terminal. Warzone 2.0 It will also have an approach voice mechanic, that is, you will be able to hear your opponents talking through the microphone as you approach them.

The system Gulag has been completely redone, and will pit you alongside a teammate in a 2v2 battle to decide who returns to the battlefield after death. It was also revealed that the "circle of death", or the famous "gas", has also been reworked. This time, three different circles will appear in different parts of the map, which will converge into a single circle until the end of the game.

New danger zones will be introduced in Warzone 2.0 with the strongholds. Strongholds are strongholds protected by enemies controlled by artificial intelligence. Additionally, Activision has revealed a new game mode called DMZ, an extraction mode inspired by the game's success. Escape from Tarkov, and will have new details revealed next month.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 will be officially released on the day 16 November.

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile

PC and Xbox players will be able to participate in the BETA next weekend, starting on the 22nd of September and ending on the 26th.
