The already known noise-canceling technology of Bose headphones will arrive for cars, a novelty was presented at CES 2019

A Bose has always been ahead of the competition in the development of noise-canceling headphone technology. And on CES 2019 she went further, promised to bring this technological marvel into cars.

with the name of QuietComfort Road Noise Control, the invention disclosed by the company promises to be available on the market by mid-2021. The system will work with the help of small microphones, accelerometers and algorithms installed in cars.

When driving on noisy or bumpy roads, the accelerometers installed in the suspensions will communicate with the algorithms, which will emit a counter frequency to eliminate external noise from the vehicle, thus leaving all occupants of the car with almost no annoying noise.

According to the company, the technology will work electronically in partnership with software that emits the algorithms and with the vehicle's own sound system, automatically eliminating unwanted noise from inside the cabin.

Today's existing systems only work by muting the sound. But the promise of QuietComfort is to eliminate external noise, adapting to the terrain where the car is passing and continue eliminating the increasing noises emitted by the advancing age of the vehicle.

The difficulty of the new technology will increase even more when all cars become electric, since the noise of combustion and the friction of the lighter car with the ground will be much less.

A Bose he also said that he is working in partnership with several automakers to deliver this novelty to the market as soon as possible.

But the big question that is created with the new technology is how to recognize a problem in the suspension or in the vehicle's spring set? Since we won't hear anything about external imperfection… We'll pay to see.

For years we've wondered why we haven't adapted our noise-canceling headphone technology into cars for a quieter, more comfortable driving experience, said John Feng, manager of Bose Automotive. We know that the difficulty is much greater when increasing the space of the headphones between the ears for the entire cabin of a car. But our advanced research and new solutions have shown that we have already achieved a high level of noise cancellation compared to competitors in this market.
