CES 2023: ROG introduces 540Hz display and more!

A CES 2023, the biggest technology fair of the year, is now taking place in the first week of January, and with it several news from the world of technological products for consumers are being released. THE ROG (Republic Of Gamers), subdivision of ASUS focused on the gamer public, obviously it was not left out and also presented new gadgets. Check out:

ROG Azoth Keyboard

The first novelty shown by the ROG it was the mechanical keyboard ROG Azoth, which has switches NX Hawthorne lights, RPG lights and several options for customization by the user - with even the connection to the computer being able to be made in a wired way, wireless ou bluetooth.

Thanks to its characteristics and lighting details, the device becomes an item that adds to the look of a game room, for example – and with the technology Aura sync it allows users to control which lights will be emitted by the keyboard, thus allowing a diverse and customized environment for the device owner's preferences.

Furthermore, the ROG Azoth It is also compatible with the software ARMORY CRATE, that allows the complete customization of keyboard parameters – do you want to leave a specific configuration for work and another for games? Just save the options profile and press a key to change it as you wish. 

Finally, the keyboard still has an OLED screen that shows general settings of the computer it is on, thus allowing the user to have greater control and also be able to intervene if he notices the temperature much higher than usual, for example.

ROG Swift Pro PG248QP

The next novelty presented by ROG it was the monitor Swift Pro PG248QP, which marks a milestone for this product category: a frame refresh rate of 540Hz – which makes this device, according to the company, the one with the best performance in the world.

O Swift Pro PG248QP will be available in a 24-inch model, with resolution FHD (1920 × 1080), and is compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync e NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer allowing the user to have access to diverse information from his PC through the screen hardware itself.

Compared to other models created by ROG, the monitor also has a new base, with a more stripped-down look, to cooperate even more with the ornament of the user's gamer setup - add this to zero latency audio, and the company hopes to be presenting a product capable of pleasing the biggest enthusiasts of professional gaming.

The launch of the monitor is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.

ROG Rapture GT-BE98

Yes, what you are seeing above is not a drone, but a gamer router! O ROG Rapture GT-BE98 was presented by the company as a router that already has compatibility with Wi-Fi 7, allowing users to approve 6Ghz and 320Mhz data transmission channels – the current most popular format, Wi-Fi 6, does 160Mhz on the same bandwidth.

Furthermore, the Rapture is also compatible with Multi Link Operation, which allows sending and receiving data from different frequencies at the same time, without the need to change device settings – thus allowing a more stable connection to the environment in which the device is installed.

O Rapture GT-BE98 will be the main device of the initial portfolio of ROG for Wi-Fi 7 solutions and is expected to launch this year. Other models, with different capacities, will be announced in the coming months.

ROG G22

Arriving in the world of Desktops, the first product presented by ROG it was the G22, the most compact desktop made by the company to date – being 40% smaller than G21, its direct predecessor. Another difference in relation to its older brother is the fact that the source of the G22 it is internal, making it easier to transport without the need to use one of those cables with a brick that take up a lot of space in the suitcase. 

O G22 will be available in different configurations, but the ROG says that they will already have 4000 series video cards from the factory NVIDIA and thirteenth-generation processors from Intel, turning the tiny device into a remarkable performance machine. 

Notebooks

Finishing the ads, the ROG it also showcased notebooks hitting the market in 2023 – as always, with a huge focus on gaming. In the initial announcement, all notebooks shown by ROG will have processors Intel's thirteenth generation or the series Ryzen 7000 da AMD, as well as video cards from NVIDIA from the series RTX 4000. All handsets will also feature a thermal optimization design that will allow for less overheating issues and screens. Nebula for better image quality. 

The thermal optimization of the machines was achieved through the use of liquid metal as a thermal conductor, together with a cooling system with seven heat dissipation tubes. A steam chamber, depending on the model, will also be available, further improving machine cooling. 

The announced notebooks, moreover, belong to some different series of ROG. the known Zephyrus, for example, arrives in 2023 with models ROG Zephyrus Duo 16, ROG Zephyrus G16, ROG Zephyrus M16 e ROG Zephyrus G14, with the number next to the name indicating how many inches the screen is. All versions will support Wi-Fi 6 and memory RAM DDR5, but precise specifications were not disclosed until the closing of this article.

Moving on to another series of notebooks from Asus, the company also presented novelties for the line FlowWith the FlowZ13 and FlowX13. Both machines feature 13-inch Nebula displays with 500 nits of brightness, and frame refresh rate of 165Hz, and have support for external GPU through technology XG-Mobile and detachable keyboard. 

Concluding the announcements of notebooks, we also had the presentation of the line ROG Strix 2023, which will feature the models ROG Strix Scar 16/18, Strix G16/G18, Strix Scar 17 e Strix G17. All of these devices will feature a 16:10 aspect ratio, and will also feature XNUMXth generation Intel CPUs and graphics cards. NVIDIA RTX 4000.

They will have up to 64 GB from memory RAM DDR5 and 4TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD, plus a display mini led nebula with HDR compatibility - albeit with fewer nits of brightness than other models announced by ROG na CES.

All notebooks are expected to arrive on the market in 2023, with the second half of the year being the likely date for them to land in Brazil.
