CES 2025: Lenovo updates Yoga and IdeaPad laptops with AI features

The Yoga and Ideapad notebooks are aimed at a more traditional audience and are geared towards studying and even producing written content, but until now they didn't have native AI features. Lenovo took advantage of its time at CES 2025 to show off five new models, and we're going to show you all the details about each one right now. Come with us!
Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition
Starting with the models that can be used as both notebooks and tablets, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i 2-in-1 has an OLED touchscreen (PureSight) 14 inches. PureSight technology improves image quality with more accurate colors, high contrast, high refresh rate and HDR support, providing a fluid and immersive visual experience. Includes features to reduce eye fatigue, such as blue light adjustment and environmental adaptation. It is ideal for high-definition content.
Still on the screen, it has WQHD+ resolution (2.8K), a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1.100 nits. Lenovo also highlights support for 100% sRGB and 100% P3 color gamut, images and works of art explode on the screen in vibrant colors, deeper blacks and more precise details. It is worth remembering that the Yoga Pen is included in the box so that artists can unlock their creativity by drawing directly on the screen.
The model will have an SSD of up to 1 TB and up to 32 GB of RAM to run all the features. The battery is another highlight: because it is part of the Aura Edition line, Lenovo confirms the arrival of special features, such as:
- Attention mode: when productivity is key, the mode of attention
allows users to specifically block distracting websites so that
can focus on the task at hand. - Wellness Resources: includes eye health and posture alert features
that combat fatigue and remind users to take breaks, helping to
keep eye health and posture in mind when in the zone. - Collaboration Tools: a set of settings designed to
enhance video calling experiences, including low-noise enhancement
light, virtual presenter, background blur, which increase clarity and
comfort when working together with others. - Shield Mode: focuses on protecting privacy with features like
privacy alerts, privacy protection and auto-prompt VPN
to ensure security when working with confidential information. - Power mode: When calculating away from a power outlet, battery life is
fundamental. Users have quick access to power settings to
help optimize battery life and performance, maximizing time
between the loads. - Smart share: through an application available for Android and iOS, it will be possible to exchange files between a smartphone and a notebook, just by touching the screen. As soon as the smartphone is detected by the computer, the application will be launched on both devices.
- Smart Care: Lenovo's real-time support service that allows remote support, either via PC or smartphone. If you want special treatment, Premium Care allows you to chat live or call support for assistance, which also offers on-site white glove support.
Speaking of the processor, the company chose the Intel Core Ultra 7 (Series) with an NPU of 48 TOPS of performance, essential for it to be part of the Copilot + PC program, which requires a notebook to have an NPU with at least 45 TOPS of performance. The model arrives on the market with Windows 11 installed from the factory and support for Microsoft's Copilot artificial intelligence. The graphics are provided by a GPU integrated into the processor, intel arc.
And, finishing on the battery, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition It has a battery with a capacity of 75Whr. Due to its low-power processor, the company promises a battery life of up to 17 hours. A 65W charger will be sent in the box to buyers.

Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1
Other options for new 2-in-1 notebooks presented by Lenovo at CES 2025 are the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1. The models will be launched in 14″ and 16″ screens, both OLED type (but a 16″ version with LCD screen was also announced) with 2,8K resolution and certification Puresight present in the notebook we mentioned above. Other details include the 120Hz refresh rate, 1.100 nits peak brightness and more certifications for no loss of more vivid tones. The model weighs only 1,39 kg.
The processor chosen to run all the features of Windows 11 was the Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) with integrated Intel Arc graphics. The NPU present in this model reaches 45 TOPS and is ready to run AI activities locally, such as Paint CoCreator. There is a 32 GB stick of LPDDR5X RAM and an additional 1 TB of storage on a PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD.
An interesting factor for buyers of the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 is that buyers will have access to a full subscription, valid for 2 months, including all Adobe applications (Photoshop, Premiere, AfterEffects, etc.). Those who are already subscribers will also be able to get an additional two months, with payment paused until the promotional period ends.

Lenovo Yoga Book 9i
Anyone who likes technological innovation will have the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i as one of their favorites. The notebook with two screens, each one 14″, both touch-sensitive and of the PureSight OLED type with 4K resolution. The displays also come with 100% DCI-P3 support, 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 750 nits. The screens are joined by a 360-degree rotating soundbar with four speakers Dolby Atmos for fuller sound and deeper bass.
The keyboard on this dual-screen notebook can be removed and used as a tablet by simply attaching magnetic dots. Without the keyboard, the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i weighs just 1,22 kg. The most interesting thing is that when running AI applications that create images, the result can be sent to another screen, making it possible to run two applications simultaneously. There are two more AI features that are exclusive to this model:
- Smart Note: transforms text notes or sketches to add a polished visual component to your notes.
- Smart Reader: generates a synopsis of the books in the user's library to quickly and easily decide what to read next.
To run all applications, the Intel Core Ultra 7 (Series 2) 258V processor and an Intel Arc graphics card will be available. It will be possible to take advantage of up to 32 GB of RAM and the model will have up to 1 TB of internal storage.

Its Intel Core Ultra 7 (Series 2) processor comes with an integrated NPU with 48 TOPS of performance for carrying out AI activities. The model also meets the standards of the Copilot + PC program.
Regarding memory, the model aimed at people looking for a more affordable notebook has 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. Windows 11 will be installed from day one and functions such as background blur, Paint CoCreator, and integration with Windows Copilot are confirmed.

Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i
Rounding out Lenovo's CES 2025 notebook announcements, the IdeaPad Pro 5i is a solid one: it has an Intel Core Ultra 9 (Series 2) processor, up to 32GB of LDDR5x RAM, and a 1TB SSD to power all of its features. Its processor has a 48 TOPS NPU, which allows it to meet the requirements of Microsoft's Copilot + PC program.
Its OLED screen measures 16,5″, has a resolution of 2,8, a variable refresh rate of 30Hz to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1.100 nits. The model weighs just 1,72 kg and will be released in the colors Luna Grey and Polar Blue. A key to activate Copilot artificial intelligence will be available on the keyboard, with the notebook also featuring a memory card reader, headphone input and HDMI.
