Group video calling has gained a lot of relevance with the social isolation required by the new coronavirus pandemic. Several communication platforms offer this option, such as Zoom and WhatsApp, however the social network Instagram also allows you to group chat with your family and friends.
The connection option is available in the session I, and you can add people and friends to your call, very similar to the direct feature already present on the platform. The big advantage in its favor is its comfortable layout, which can be a favorite option for those who prefer to make use of their smartphones in their video call. It is worth remembering that there is a fixed number for how many people can be part of your call, with the maximum number of users present being six.
It is worth remembering that making a group call does not significantly differ if you are a Android or your smartphone of choice is a iPhone. For that reason, we decided to make it simple and created a tutorial with all the steps to make Instagram video calling your favorite mode for video calls and, on top of that, help you debut this feature on your next group call. How to make a group video call on Instagram
Step 1: First of all, open your application. On its homepage, you can see, as indicated in the image, in the upper right corner, the so-called icon Instagram Direct. By clicking on it, you access the tab where you can check your private conversations with other users of the application. It records your interactions in stories, whether yours or your colleagues', as well as using it as a chat. In this same tab, you can even access the video call option, once again, located in the upper right corner.

Step 2: Clicking on the camera icon will take you to another tab. This time you can add people you would like to join your video call. To do so, simply add them by searching for their use in the search bar. It is worth remembering that the limit of participants is limited to six people.

Step 3: Once the people are selected, just click on the icon located in the upper right. In this way, your video call starts. It is worth remembering that, if you wish, it is still possible to name the link in a group. A notification will invite others to join the video call. Just wait for them to accept your invitation.

Step 4: Once users accept the video call invitation, take the opportunity to have fun with the filters present in your application. This option is in the lower right corner. Click and have fun! If you still want to browse Instagram even if you are in a video call, just click on the icon located in the upper left corner to minimize the call. In addition, another icon can be quite interesting since the one located in the upper right corner offers the option to switch the front camera to the rear camera.

Step 5: Do you want to end the call? Just click on the upper right corner. A message stating that the message is ending your video call will appear.

It is worth remembering that, if you do not wish to interact with any user, there is the option to silence or block them in order to prevent them from participating in any video calls. The great positive point about Instagram video calls resides exactly in the way in which it is possible to reconcile the calls with the typical interactions of the application, as a great extension of everything that is attractive on the platform to increase the video calls that can very well be monotonous. Relaxed, it's ideal for those who prefer to make their group calls from their smartphone. What's more, there are no complications.
