During a presentation this year, Wu Yansheng, president of the CASC, revealed an animated sequence that gives a glimpse of what the long-awaited Chinese manned landing on the moon would look like. The mission mentioned by Wu Weiren would allow for a short-term stay on the lunar surface. China also has ambitious plans to build a permanent base, known as the International Lunar Research Station, which is expected to be built in the 2030s.

Using 3D printing, Chinese scientists and engineers are seeking to create a new era of space construction, where materials found on Earth's own natural satellite can be efficiently and sustainably harnessed.
