CogniToys is the name of a line of smart toys being created by the company Elemental Path. The first product in the family is a friendly dinosaur that will be funded through KickStarter. Those who joined the campaign in the early days can purchase a unit of the toy for US$ 89,00. At the moment the smallest amount invested to acquire one of the dinos is US$99,00 (or 300 reais).

Interaction with the toy is done through voice. Just talk to him and ask for anything and he will respond as best he can. If necessary, he accesses the internet to look for information and learns about his owner as he interacts with him. Parents have access to an application that allows them to view everything the child is doing, learning and even customize the behavior of the little dinosaur.

The target audience is children between 4 e 7 years old. For now, only the English language will be supported. The campaign began on February 16th asking for $50. Less than two days later they had already doubled this value. At this point, the project has already achieved almost 4 times its goal and there are still about 3 weeks to go. Did anyone else remember the Ted Bear of the movie AI?
