Vivo launches Anti-Spam service for calls. See how to activate it

A Living has started releasing its Anti Spam service to all users and activation can be done directly in the application available for Android e iOS. The feature can be used free of charge for three months and the operator states that there is no price forecast yet. See how to activate it and full details about the feature.

How much?

At this stage, Vivo will not charge anything to the first 100 customers who activate the service that blocks telemarketing calls. Although it is reported that only Vivo Móvel customers with area code 11 can use the new feature, people with other plans and area code numbers from other states are able to activate the new feature.

The functionality's regulations state that the service will be free for the first three months and will be provided by Vivo until the end of 2024. From 2025 onwards, it should be outsourced to another company, but it is not yet known which one.

No price is given in the terms and conditions of use, which means that the company has not yet set a price for its telemarketing call blocking tool. The feature analyzes the behavior of calls on the network and, according to intelligent algorithms, blocks nuisance calls.

Step by step

It is possible to activate Vivo's Anti-Spam directly through the application, so if you are a customer of the operator, follow the screenshots below.

Step 01: open your Vivo app. If you haven't installed it yet, do so via Google Play ou App Store. Log in to your account.

Step 02: On the home screen of the application, a banner is being displayed about the Anti Spam service. So, just read the details and click on Activate now.

Step 03: Read the instructions on the next screen very carefully. If you agree, click the purple button at the bottom of the page.

Step 04: your service is not yet activated. To do this, check the box with Terms and Conditions of Use, agreeing to the use of the spam blocking tool. Then, enter your Vivo number and press the button Sign, in purple.

Step 05: You will receive an SMS to confirm the activation of Vivo's Anti Spam. Enter the code received in the Password box.

Step 06: then, just wait for the system to validate your subscription. An SMS confirming the subscription will be sent when it is finalized.

The company states that, when a price is set, the amount will be charged directly to the customer's invoice. We will update the article when the information is released. It is also possible to activate the functionality by sending an SMS with the word ANTISPAM to the number 5050. With that, just follow the steps that appear on the screen to activate the tool that can block unwanted calls.
