The new version of iOS, the iPhone's operating system, is now available for download and installation. Learn how to update your device.

The wait is over and the official launch of iOS 26 it has finally happened: the new version of the operating system iPhone, which in addition to the mode Liquid glass With a transparent interface, it also features new AI features like an assistant that stays on the line while the call is silent, available for several models starting today, September 15th.

O iOS 26 will come pre-installed on the iPhone 17/Pro/Max and iPhone Air, models released this year (2025). Other iPhones will need to be updated, with the exception of the iPhone X and lower-end models, as these will not receive the update. See the full list:

  • iPhone 16/16e/Plus/Pro/Max
  • iPhone 15 / Plus / Pro / Max

For security reasons, start the update process by first doing the backup your iPhone, following the steps below:

Step 01: First, look for the gear icon to open the menu. Settings, on your home screen iPhone. Here:

Step 02: then click on your name.

Step 05: now, just check the option “Backup This iPhone".

Once the iPhone are connected to a Wi-Fi network, the backup will be made to your account iCloud. iPhones with 5G support can also back up using mobile data. To do so, on this same screen, simply select the option "Backup via Cellular Network". Here:

Step 06: Now, let's go step by step to update the iPhone. Back on the device's home screen, access the Settings.

Step 07: tap “General".

Step 09: a search for the update will be made and, if the iOS 26 is available for your device, tap “Update now".

Step 10: now, just type your PIN.

Step 11: Accept the terms and conditions by tapping “Agree".

Alternatively: Terms and conditions for iOS and iCloud; accept them to continue using the service.
