In this sunday (6), Brazilians will head to the electoral zone in which they are registered with one objective: to define their mayors, deputy mayors and councilors for the next few years. But to be able to participate in the elections, it is necessary to have some documents in hand, such as the Voter Registration Card — and, in 2024, the option of e-Title is also available. See how to download, register and use it e-Title in these elections:

What is e-Title

O e-Title is a mobile application that serves as a digital copy of the voter registration card. It is not mandatory (you can vote by taking any official Brazilian document with a photo), but it allows quick and easy access to the user's information registered with the electoral justice, such as electoral status, polling place and title number.

Furthermore, thanks to biometrics, the digital document can also serve as a form of official identification. However, it is important to note that anyone who wants to use this type of identifier must download and activate the app up to one day before voting day.

How do I make the e-Title?

To use the e-Title, first of all, you need to download the application to Android ou iOS (iPhone). After downloading, follow the steps below:

1st step – Open the application and choose the option “Enter e-Title";

2st step – A screen to enter information such as Voter's Name, Date of Birth, CPF or Registration Number and Mother's Name will be displayed. This information can be placed either by scanning the QR code on the physical voter registration card or manually.

3st step – After entering the information, answer the following questions: three questions requested by the application, relating to your general data registered in the TSE;

4st step – Once this process is complete, the application will ask you to create a password. It must contain uppercase, lowercase letters and a special character. In addition, the biometric configuration can also be enabled to access the document with the fingerprint.

Finally, after these steps, you will have access to your digital document, being able to use it in 2024 elections.
