How to cancel your Claro, Tim or Vivo cell phone plan

Cell phones are perhaps the most important means of communication today, but they come with a necessary factor that, sometimes, can become a headache for some users: the telephone operators.

In order to be able to use all the functionalities of our devices, we need to choose one of the available operators and sometimes our first choice may not please or meet our long-term needs.

However, dissatisfaction with the operator can turn into a real nightmare, with users finding it very difficult to cancel plans with Claro, Tim or Vivo. Can I cancel the third-party line?

Before we get into the details of the cancellation process, it's important to keep in mind that only plan holders can initiate the cancellation or line change process.

The operator will request documents from the holder to prove the validity of the entire process. There is an exception for cancellations in cases of holder's death which has a totally different process.

Therefore, it is always important to be aware of the clauses of the plan contract, if there is an interest in carrying out one of the procedures set out below, as some of the procedures may lead to cases of breach of contract that are often subject to a fine.

Another factor that can make it difficult are payment delays, usually for package changes this factor is not a hindrance, but for plan cancellations they tend to get in the way and often stop the entire process until all debts are settled.

Change or cancel Claro plan

As explained earlier, if you wanted to change your Clear You can contact us through the channels:

  • By phone you can use the number 1052 (Clear Móvel customer) and request a change to your current package, following the instructions from the answering machine;
  • Another option is through the website My course, by logging in with your account you have access to plan change request;
  • The third option is to go to one of the physical stores from the operator, you can find the nearest store of your location. There you explain to the attendant which operator plan you currently have and want alter this plan.

To cancel the plan of Clear it will be necessary to talk to an attendant, no matter which service channel you choose, for this there are the following steps:

Not much different from what was shown earlier, if you want to change Tim's plan, the channels are:

  • Hair Phone you can call the number 1056 from any operator and carry out the entire procedure with an answering machine or type * 144 a TIM number to access an interactive operator menu;
  • Another option is to go to one of the physical stores from the operator, you can find the nearest store of your location. There you explain to the attendant which operator plan you currently have and want to change that plan.

Now if you really want to cancel Tim's plan, there are some options available for the process:

  • The first and simplest option is to go to the website My TIM, there in the menu Services, you will find the option Chat TIM where you can Request cancellation;
  • Another option is by text message, sending the word CANCELLATION followed by CPF of the holder and client code to the number 4199;
  • To cancel the TIM plan by phone you can call the number * 144, in the interactive menu you choose continue with the call, following the guidelines of the answering machine, you can request the cancellation of the line, it will direct you to a attendant which will finalize the entire requested cancellation process.
  • You can also request cancellations at physical stores operator, talking to the attendant and explaining that he already knows all the plans available from the operator, but wants to cancel the TIM plan.

Change or cancel the Vivo plan

Following the same pattern presented by the other operators, changing the Vivo plan would not be more complicated, you can change it through the channels:

  • Through an advanced live cell you can call the number * 8486 or call from any other carrier to the number 1058, following the guidelines of the electronic secretary, you will be able to request the change;
  • At Vivo you can also go personally to one of the physical stores to make a carrier package change, you can find the nearest store of your location. There you explain to the attendant which operator plan you currently have and want to change that plan.

If you really want to cancel the Vivo plan, the way to start this procedure is:
