Elon Musk's satellite internet allows people who live far from capitals to have access with speeds above 100 Mbps

The initiative of Elon Musk to take satellite internet to farms and areas far from large cities has been drawing attention precisely because it manages to solve problems of technology advancement in these places. With these advances, have you ever wondered how to hire the Starlink in Brazil?

On January 28, 2022, the Anatel I authorized the operation of the company in Brazil and it is possible to contract the internet plan via satellite. See all the details you agreed on right now!

Developed as a telecommunications initiative by SpaceX, Starlink is a satellite internet company focused on bringing high-speed networks to farms and locations further away from large capitals. Despite having become more famous in the last three years, the novelty was conceived by Elon Musk in 2015. In the image below, we have an example of an antenna that a person receives as soon as they order on the site:

Nowadays, there are already robots focused only on supporting agribusiness, as one of the Naio Technologies, who works only in vineyards and was one of the highlights of CES 2022. The high-speed networks provided by satellites will be more than essential for robots of the genre to work without major obstacles, in addition to optimizing the work of the latest technologies and ensuring eventual evolutionary changes of robots of the genre.

In the last six years, the Starlink carried out the sending of 2042 satellites into space and, between crashes and failures, 1469 are in Operação, with another 272 moving into operational orbits. The information is owned by Elon Musk, in a tweet from January 15, 2022. The models are autonomous and last launched in December 2021. Attend at the moment:

In order to be able to work with the Starlink not Brazil and other countries, Elon Musk already have authorization from the government of the EUA to put another 42 satellites into space. The models will be responsible for enhancing high-speed networks around the globe.

According to the company's website, anyone who uses the company's internet Starlink can expect a speed of download that varies between 100 to 200Mbps. Response time is 20 milliseconds for some locales. The average is currently at 130 Mbps, but some sites have already pointed that the average can drop to close to 100 Mbps. In the field of upload, the speed stabilizes around 13 Mbps.

Data Oookla Speed Test Intelligence, study during the third half of 2022 show that the company is the best satellite internet company available for hiring. One of the details that can influence the internet speed of the Starlink not Brazil is the “field of view” of the antenna. The company emphasizes that galhos and at the same properties that are not “point V of the aerial view” can transport low speed. Ou seja, if there is any obstacle or device, the speed will decrease, in the same way that happens when we have a very thick wall blocking the Wi-Fi.

In October 2021, the satellite internet network of Elon Musk came out of its beta phase and was officially released in EUA. Anyone who wants to take the test must necessarily buy the kit that bears the same name as the company, all online.

People living in places like In Canada, Portugal, The Netherlands and 20 other nations can also contract the satellite internet plan from Starlink.

People who live in foreign countries need to pay US$ 499,00 (R$ 2710,87 in direct conversion), receiving at home: an antenna or router to have access to the internet via satellite. Not Brazil, or the same kit is sold for R$ 2570,00 (without considering R$ 365,00 upfront).

On the last day of January 28, 2022, after almost three months since the first request to operate in Brazil, to a company of Elon Musk Obtained authorization to offer internet via satellite for Brazilians.

There are rumors that the tests were supposed to start between December and February, but there were decisions from the Anatel that prevented this from happening. In the same week that this information was made public, the authorization for the operation of the Starlink no Brazil was also confirmed. Meanwhile, a satellite internet company from Elon Musk already has its own name and CNPJ since May 2021, as you can see in the image below.

According to the decision of the board of Anatel, the company had the endorsement to offer its services to Brazilians by March 28, 2027. The initial idea would be to request authorization by 2033, but the telecommunications organization opted to push for exploration in six years.

Elon Musk's meeting with Fábio Faria

Em November 2021, during his time in the EUA, Fábio Faria, Minister of Communications do Brasil, held a meeting with Elon Musk to define the objectives and necessary advances to establish the connection in the Amazon through satellite internet. Both were very excited about the possibility of people living in more remote areas finally having access to high-speed networks.

We are working to date this important partnership between the Brazilian government and the company SpaceX. We want to ally the technology developed by them with the Wi-Fi Brasil program of the Ministry of Communications. Our goal is to bring the Internet to rural areas and remote places, in addition to helping to control fires and illegal deforestation in the Amazon forest.

Fábio Faria, Minister of Communications in Brazil

However, despite the meeting of the two, the release of the tests of Starlink no Brazil ainda ficava por conta da Anatel. The regulatory agency found itself in trouble with this meeting, since another five companies were already being evaluated by the technicians and there were internal rumors from the Anatel that the Minister of Communication “forced” the process after the encounter. Fábio Faria, however, denied having demanded the approval of the Starlink no brazil pela Anatel.

For the profit to happen over the months, Elon Musk is charging a monthly fee of US$ 99,00 (537,83 in direct conversion) in foreign countries. In Brazil, Starlink's monthly plan costs from R$ 230 per month.

Now that I was authorized to work in Brazil, pela Anatel, Starlink can also offer the kit can be sold to Brazilians. The antenna and router necessary for customers to access the internet via satellite is being sold for BRL 2.000,00, with shipping and taxes charged additionally at the time of order completion. In our simulation, the amount for the kit to be sent to the interior of São Paulo was R$ 3.196,03. Check out:

This is one of the main purposes of the creator of SpaceX with Starlink, so yes, it is possible to use satellite internet on farms. That's because the company's kit that offers high-speed networks has its own antenna and router to capture the signal that comes from space.

The use should be even better in rural areas, precisely because there are no buildings or many trees that cause interference in the signal. So, if you live in a rural area, don't waste time and get tested right now.

The contracting of internet via satellite is done through the official website of Starlink, which has a version in Portuguese and where interested parties can make a reservation. Remember that all payments must be made with an international credit card.

As it is making or sending more and more satellites to the space, it is expected that the use will also increase as is the use of high-speed networks in more affluent locations in the capitals of Brazil and the Federal District.
