How to clear Instagram history

Everyone does daily searches on any online platform, whether on the most used search engine, Google, or on social networks, such as Facebook. Some of these social networks offer the opportunity to delete what was previously searched. And you know how clear instagram history? Update your app

Before proceeding with our central focus, which is clearing Instagram history, let's first update the social network app. This will ensure that it is at its latest version and that all the steps and tools are in place when you go through the process to delete recent searches. If your smartphone has the operating system Android, then open the app store, Google Play Store and, in the search bar, type “Social media coordinator“. When the application appears, click “Update“, so that the latest version of is downloaded to your device.

If your device is iOS (i.e, iPhone), to update the application you must open the local app store, the App Store, click on your photo in the upper right corner. On this screen, drag from top to bottom and refresh the list.

When you do this, all apps listed for update appear. You can scroll until you find Instagram, or click OK to go back and, in the bottom right corner, click “Search” and in the search bar above, type “Social media coordinator“. If the “Update“, click to download the latest update from the social network. If not, the “OPEN” to activate the app for use. That done, we can then proceed with our guidance.

• Select the Instagram app and click on the magnifying glass icon;

• Now select the search bar. At this point you will be able to see all the searches that have been carried out. To delete them, click on the X that is on the right side, at the end of each search that was made;

• You can still click on the “See all” option, in blue, just above the X. When you do that, the search list will expand and, with that, you can select the “Clear all” option, so that there is a mass deletion , instead of clearing search by search.

There is still another way to clear Instagram history that takes a little longer but works identically to the previous guidelines. If you are not performing searches, but rather, for example, editing your profile, maybe this way is easier. Check out:

• Select the Instagram app on your smartphone and click on the bottom right icon on the tool that leads to your profile;

• Now, select the icon composed of three horizontal lines, in the upper right corner;

• When the options are displayed, choose “Settings”, with the gear icon;

• In front of the account configuration options, select “Security”, indicated by the icon of a shield with a verified symbol in the center;

• And then choose the last option in the list, “Clear Search History”, with the magnifying glass icon;

• At this point you will see the screen of all the searches that have been carried out. You will be able to delete a search at a time, being one specific of your choice, or even, in the upper right corner, click on “Clear all”, in blue, so that this entire list is permanently deleted.

In the browser it is as simple as in the mobile app. In this case you just need to log in to your account and, on the main page, click on the “Search” field, accompanied by a magnifying glass icon and the search list will appear. Then you can select which search you want to delete, individually or you can also click on “Clear all”, so that the entire history is permanently deleted.

Remembering that this only applies to the most recent searches. Whenever you want to do this type of cleaning, you must follow the same steps again.
