How to get voter registration online

2022 has arrived bringing with it another year for us to vote and determine who our political representatives will be for the next 4 years at the state and federal levels. Voting is mandatory for people aged between 18 and 70, being optional for young people aged between 16 and 18 and seniors over 70. But the important thing is that, in order to vote this year, it is necessary to have the voter registration, which must be issued by the day May 4.

How to make a Digital Voter Card?

1. To start our tutorial, go to the website TitleNet, enter which state you live in, and then click Next:

2. You will now see a screen with various directions. read carefully all of them, remembering that this process is a request, that is, the issuance of the document or regularization of data will be analyzed and confirmed later by the TSE. After reading the entire newsletter, click Next:

3. In the next step, you must inform the status of your voter registration. As the tutorial is aimed at those who do not have the document and want to make the first copy, in the “Voter Title” field, select the third option, “I DO NOT HAVE“. Then fill in the rest of the requested data:

4. On the next screen you will have a series of spaces to fill, all of them asking for personal information — including if you have social name and would like to include it. Below is where you will attach the requested documents:

5. At the end of the page, you will find a space where several documents must be attached to proceed with the request for the first voter registration card. In this case there are eight fields for sending documents and the first four are mandatory, which are: a photo holding an official photo ID, a photo of the front of this document, a photo of the back of this document and a photo of proof of residence — that is, any account that has the address from which you lives.

On the website itself there is a highlighted message where it says that, for citizens men aged between 18 and 45 years, there is obligatoriness to send the certificate of Discharge from Military Service, so in addition to the first 4, this is another mandatory document.

6. Important tip when taking photos to be sent to the site: always capture well clear and discernible, either your photo or the documents. As there will be an analysis, it is necessary that the images are good so that you are not barred and have some headache to finish the process.

7. After filling in all the required spaces and submitting the necessary documentation, click Next and follow the rest of the guidelines to submit your application. Now just follow the progress of your request to confirm if it was completed or if there was some kind of error that needs to be adjusted. E-Title Application

After you submit your application and it is approved, you will have your document online. Now download and install the app e-Title — available free of charge to Android e iOS — which you can vote for this year. If you have the paper version of the document, you can also download the application, enter your data and use it instead of the physical document. In the application you have access to the digital version of your voter registration, you can check where your electoral zone is, see notifications about your electoral situation and check other information such as electoral debts and etc.

Elections 2022

With confirmed appointment for October 2 for the first round and October 30th for the second round – if necessary –, this year's elections, like any other, are crucial and will define the coming years of our country. Among the elective positions are the president of the republic, governor, senator, federal deputy and state deputy.

Elections are usually finalized in the first round, but if a locality with 200 voters or more is unable to elect a candidate with half the votes plus one, it will be necessary to have a contest between the two candidates who obtained the most votes.

According to the Superior Electoral Court, null and blank votes don't have any weight for the current election, and they are options for citizens to manifest according to their dissatisfaction with those eligible. In order for a candidate to be considered the winner, votes cast directly for him or her will be counted exclusively. Despite the technical differences of voting blank or null, both options express neutrality to the citizen, who preferred not to take a position on the election of that position(s).

Since the beginning of September 2021, the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) has promoted the campaign Let's Vote!, which encourages enlistment and the conscious vote of 16 and 17 year olds, who, even though they are not obliged to vote, can choose their representatives in the Executive and Legislative Powers.
