And on your Nintendo Switch…

No Nintendo Switch, just download the application directly from eShop. To do this, open the eShop No. Switch and use the search tool to find it. Then, just click the download button and wait for the transfer to be done. Once ready, just select the new comic from the app Pokémon HOME in your main menu Switch to open and start using the tool.

With it open, you'll need to do the same as in the mobile version, that is, select the language, region, date of birth, and approve the usage contracts. After all this is done, it's time to leave for joy and…

Getting Started with Pokémon HOME

To take the next step in this journey, simply select the player account from Switch which you will use and, from there, which of the games in the series you will want to copy the collection to the cloud.

Despite the eShop of 3DS has already been closed, if you have downloaded the Pokemon bank from there before that, you can still use it together with the Pokémon HOME following the options within the application to bring your valuable friends from older versions of Pokémon from the 3DS and even some of DS, according to the specific rules of that application.

There are some special ways to trade Pokémon for HOME. one of them is the WonderTrade. In it, you make your pets available and send them to someone else who is doing the same, without knowing what you are about to receive. It's a fun way to get different species that you don't already have. Or not! It's literally a box of surprises.

On the GTS (Global Trading System, Global Trading System in Portuguese), you can specify exactly what you want from the trade by offering one of your Pokémon. If someone accepts, you receive the new member of your collection over the Internet, just like in the older games.

Em Room Trade, or Trading Room, you enter a virtual room with up to twenty other players to bargain with them. Bring the best of you and don't mind running out and who knows someone has something you've been after for ages. Never know.

friend trade, the Exchange between Friends, is the most direct way to exchange virtual pets. You connect directly to a friend and make your Pokémon exchanges directly with that person, being able to check the complete card of abilities and statistics of the Pokémon that are being sent. Unfortunately, this option is exclusive to the smartphone application.

The limitations of the service

Let us stress again that there are limitations imposed on the direction in which these transfers can be made. One concerns the Let's Go games: if you've spent your adorable Eevee Let's Go Eevee ao HOME and then to Pokémon Shield, you cannot bring it back to Let's go again. The reason is that the little monster's source code changes when entering another game.

You'll also have to be patient with the different Pokédexes in the games where you want to send your Pokémon. This means that a small monster cannot be transferred to a different game unless it is part of its fauna. Don't worry, the application will notify you whenever there is a discrepancy.

Conclusion

Even with limitations, Pokémon Home is an interesting alternative for those who want to keep their collection in order, or as close as possible to it, within the app's possibilities. Nintendo itself has invested in it and promises updates as the franchise grows in the future, including support for the newest games in the series, pokemon scarlet e Purple.
