Would you buy it? Honor Magic V3 foldable phone arrives in Brazil for R$20

Announced in Brazil in January this year, the foldable smartphone Honor Magic V3 officially arrived in the country this Tuesday (3), at an event held in São Paulo. Equipped with a Snapdragon chip and cutting-edge construction, the smartphone scares with its suggested price higher than iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy z fold6. The most expensive cell phone in Brazil

O Honor Magic V3 arrives in Brazil at the suggested price of 19.999 BRL on 12 GB of RAM e 512 GB of internal storage — which is not even the most powerful version of the smartphone, which includes 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of memory.

Therefore, it occupies the position of most expensive cell phone in Brazil, previously belonging to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which costs R$ 16.499 in the most robust option.

Compared to its direct competitor, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, the price of the Honor Magic V3 is also impressive, as the South Korean brand's foldable cell phone arrived in Brazil around 45% cheaper (R$ 13.799) and with the same memory conditions.

And what about the MagicV3 delivery to justify the almost R$ 20 thousand charged by Honor? The device arrives in Brazil almost a year after its launch abroad with chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen3, 2023. In other words, it is equivalent to Galaxy z fold6 da Samsung, released in 2024, and lower than Galaxy z fold7, which is rumored to come with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite and is scheduled to be released in July this year.

Furthermore, by January of this year — with the launch of the foldable OPPO Find N5 -, O Honor Magic V3 It was considered the thinnest cell phone in its category, measuring just 4,4 mm thick when unfolded. Even so, the battery has a generous 5.150 mAh capacity thanks to the new carbon silicon battery technology, which is more efficient than the lithium battery found in most cell phones.

Its screens are also a highlight: the larger screen, displayed when the device is unfolded, measures 7,92 inches and has a resolution of 2344×2156, in addition to being an OLED type. The external screen measures 6,43 inches and, in addition to being an OLED type, has the same dynamic refresh rate that goes from 01Hz to 120Hz, depending on the activity performed.

The cameras on the Chinese smartphone's launch also attract positive attention: a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3,5x optical zoom, and a 40 MP ultrawide camera. On the front, there are two 20 MP front sensors. The device can be purchased at Honor's official website.

Honor Magic 7 Lite has also been launched

Besides the MagicV3, Honor also started selling the Magic 7 Lite here in Brazil. The mid-range cell phone features the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, from 2023, 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of memory, a 108 MP main camera, and resistance to drops of up to two meters. The model also stands out for having a 6,78-inch screen with 1.5K resolution (2.700 x 1.224) with a peak brightness of 4.000 nits and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The highlight of the optical set is its main 108-megapixel rear sensor, with a generous f/1.75 aperture and a 1/1.67-inch sensor. To ensure sharper images and stable videos, even in adverse conditions of movement or low light, this sensor is assisted by Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS).

Complementing the main camera, the device has a 5MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2), ideal for capturing wide landscapes or group photos. On the front, a 16MP camera, with an aperture that varies between f/2.45 and f/2.5 depending on the source, is responsible for selfies and video calls. When it comes to video recording, the Honor Magic 7 Lite's main sensor raises the bar by allowing captures in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, while the front camera generally supports recordings in Full HD (1080p) at 30fps.

The camera’s arsenal of special features is vast and powered by artificial intelligence. Among them, “Motion Sense Capture” stands out, which, with the help of OIS and AI, aims to capture moving moments with greater clarity. For night photography enthusiasts, “Ultra-Clear AI Night Mode” uses post-processing algorithms to optimize photos in dark environments.

The manufacturer also emphasizes the 3x zoom capability without loss of quality, in addition to a digital zoom that can reach up to 10x. “AI Photography” automatically optimizes scenes and recognizes elements to adjust camera settings, while the popular Portrait Mode offers the bokeh effect and beauty mode. Other features include Panorama, HDR, Pro mode, various filters, time-lapse, smile capture, document scanner and the option to add watermarks to images.

The device can now be purchased at Honor's official website in Brazil with suggested price of 4.599 BRL, in two colors: black or purple. All buyers also get a free wireless headset HONOR CHOICE EARBUDS X5, launched in Brazil at the beginning of the year.
