In order for both services to work correctly, it is necessary to be aware of the data used in the calculation. Keep in mind that the fuel consumption of your vehicle may vary depending on the type of route, be it urban or not, in addition to the type of fuel used, ethanol ou gasoline.

Ethanol x Gasoline?

A lot of people know that most cars have greater autonomy on the road, however, what confuses a lot of people is that vehicles fueled with ethanol usually yield less than when fueled with gasoline. In other words, fueling with ethanol is not always the most advantageous. It is necessary to take the calculator and check the numbers.

Dividing the value of ethanol by the value of gasoline, we arrive at a relationship whose result leads to two choices:

• • If the result of the division is greater than 0,7, ethanol is not being advantageous, and it is better to supply with gasoline;

• If the result of the division is less than 0,7, the lower yield of ethanol will be offset by its price. Therefore, it is more advantageous to supply with ethanol.

An important reminder: in any case, the gasoline will always offer more autonomy to the vehicle. On long journeys, this means fewer fuel stops.
