“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” (2016)

Directed by Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (original title: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, 2016) arrived with the promise of starting the “DC Universe”, along the lines of the successful path followed by the Marvel. But maybe this is not such a promising start...

The cast includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Gal Gadot. The story follows the path started in “Man of Steel” (original title: Man of Steel, 2013): Superman's actions begin to be questioned, as he is not under any jurisdiction and Bruce Wayne takes the lead to contain this superhero alien. Meanwhile, a new threat arises in which rivals will have to join forces.

A fact: the productions of DC's heroes will never be as good as those of Marvel - and look at that Marvel itself has already delivered some VERY bad movies.

It's incomprehensible why Warner/DC continues to bet on director Zack Snyder. Owner of a horrendous filmography (with dreadful films like "sucker Punch","Immortals"and "300”), how can a studio in their right mind give him this responsibility?

A Zack Snyder "Classic"

If the result of reboot "Steel man"(Man of Steel, 2013) was quite weak, this sequence can only be described as mediocre. The film is a succession of mistakes, from the poorly written script to insanely uncontrolled direction. I've never described a superhero film as boring, apparently there's a first time for everything. (www.plu68.com) Even the action scenes – which director Snyder is incapable of creating something visually incoherent – become boring. Until the moment they both meet for the first time, which had everything to be apotheotic, it was completely erased.

Much of the cast is wasted – Affleck even tries to imbue Batman with personality, but he appears more annoyed than anything else (but the ONLY really decent scene in the movie is him).

Cavill as Superman is unconvinced, Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is too affected, and Gadot barely has time to develop anything like Wonder Woman (I'm looking forward to the 2017 solo film directed by Patty Jenkins' "Monster”, for which Charlize Theron won the Oscar for best actress in 2004).

Henry Cavill reprises his role, but still unconvinced.

The movie is long, tiresome and far from the movie these iconic heroes deserve to star in. It worries me that Snyder is already running"Justice League” – which furthermore will be divided into two parts. Help.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who hated the film, on the review aggregator site, Rotten Tomatoes, the film has 29% approval (or better disapproval).
