It had been a while since a film moved the internet beyond a momentary viralization. Launched in the middle of last year in the United States, 'Everything Everywhere at the Same Time' has already been born a classic for a number of reasons. But perhaps the common thread in all of them is his tremendous creativity.
Directed by daniel kwan e daniel scheinert, also known as the Daniels (The Daniels), the feature is the leader of Oscar nominations 2023, including the main categories. No wonder: it's a stupendous story with an incredible cast and impeccable technique.
the real multiverse

'Everything Everywhere at Once' addresses the sudden change in Evelyn Wang's life (Michelle yeoh): there has been an interdimensional rift and she is the only person who can save her and all other worlds a derived version of her inhabits.
From the first moment that Michelle Yeoh appears on the scene, there isn't a moment that she doesn't deliver entertainment to the audience. This is a film that goes through several references and styles of cinema, from comedy to martial arts, but in short it is a great adventure. It's hard to list the many interesting points in the feature, and that's one of its qualities: being very well crafted.
In addition to the protagonist, the Daniels brought a strong team to play some of the most brilliant scenes of last year. We Huy Quan it makes Waymond, Evelyn's husband, a simple guy — at least in the main universe — who cares about his family. Together they have a daughter, Joy de Stephanie hsu, who has wanted something other than the comfort in which his parents live.

Following the unfolding of this plot is quite a journey, not only because of the particularities of each character, but how they act in certain situations, whether critical or comic. A good example is Deirdre from fun Jamie Lee Curtis, who in one timeline is an employee who negotiates bank debts for clients, while in another is a tremendous threat to Evelyn.
At every turn, the film plays with your sense of the absurd. The crazier the situation, the funnier the sequels become. All we viewers do is take it in, not quite understanding it at first, but loving every minute of it.
Feelings are complex in any timeline

With a barrage of references to 'Matrix', the romance 'Love to the Skin' and up 'Ratatouille’, the Daniels film somehow manages to organize everything into a great script. It would be very easy to slip up in several moments and make mistakes in the narratives, but they hold all the ends. For all this to work, they had an excellent technical team.
From the special effects to the insane editing, the technical quality of this film is astounding. Especially because there are many elements on the screen at the same time and everywhere — as the title already delivers. A single confrontation scene in Kung Fu must have been a job like that.
It's still interesting to see so much complexity when putting together a film whose theme is quite simple: living a good life alongside those you love, regardless of the difficulties. To discuss the subject, the Daniels put together moving scenes, like the one with the stones, which was much commented on social networks. We won't go into details so that you, who are yet to watch, check it out in full.
Is 'Everything, Everywhere, At Once' worth watching?
In the end, the positive balance is so great that it covers any less extraordinary moment of the film. It's a true show outside the curve of traditional launches. Apart from the multiverse theme — also addressed in the last 'Doctor Strange’, for example — this is an eccentric film, incomparable with anything else. It is precisely for this reason that his prominence at the Oscars is deserved. Here is our great recommendation.
What are the chances at the Oscars 2023?

'Everything Everywhere at the Same Time' is up for 10 Oscar categories: Best Film, Best Direction, Best Actress, Best actress Supporting (2x), Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Costume Design e Best Editing.
As the leader in the Oscar race, the film has more chances than all its competitors. Let's remember that there is a history of films with multiple nominations and no wins, such as 'American Hustle' and 'The Irishman'. But if that happens here it will be very shocking. Best Edition is perhaps the already guaranteed award, recognizing the beautiful work done.
Soundtrack, Costume Design and Supporting Actress are already targeted at other nominees, especially the latter, which should go to Angela Bassett in 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. Direction, Script and Actress are being disputed. There is no guarantee of victory or defeat. The long one can surprise and take over other favorites.
Now, at the big prize of the night, for Best Picture, the Daniels can be enshrined. Currently, next to 'Nothing New on the Front', 'Everything Everywhere at the Same Time' has been a hotly debated name to get the upper hand. In addition to awarding a great film, the Academy would be renewing its vows with artistic creativity in cinema, showing that it is indeed possible to celebrate it in its most genuine essence.
