Who watched the movie series "Back to the future” you must remember very well the hoverboard, that little pink board that looked like a flying skateboard that was driven by Marty mcfly. As life imitates art, many people have dreamed of doing some maneuvers with such a machine. However, there are those who did more than dream and this fantasy is on the way to becoming a reality.
Catalin Alexandru Duru is the name of the Canadian inventor who heads this endeavor. The first step towards realizing this dream took place in May of last year, when Duru joined the record book with the longest flight mark in a hoverboard, when traveling 275,9 meters at a height of 5 meters above the lake in 90 seconds (see in the video below).
The model used in the test for the Guinness Book was designed and developed by over 12 months in an autonomous initiative from Duru. Since then, the Canadian has mobilized and founded the Omni Hoverboards to take your dream to the next level. According to one matter from the Canadian portal CBCNews, the company would be working on a secret version of the next generation of the device.
the reporter from CBCNews, Reg Sherren, was invited to visit the facilities where the new propeller-powered boards are being built. After that, it is possible to check an exclusive test with the first hoverboard of the second generation. The video was recorded on a lake near Quebec and you can check it out below.
