In this week's episode of ShowmeCAST, Arthur Pieri e Leticia Leite receive lucas gomes, one of the beautiful authors of Showmetech. We talked about what we've been enjoying in terms of entertainment in the last few weeks — with highlights for asymmetrical games, investigative podcasts and movies that, despite their dubious character, we recommend. Check out a little bit of what happened in this chat!
ShowmeCAST #99 Summary

We started episode 99 with, more than a recommendation, an invitation from Lucas to presenters and listeners to try one of his favorite games and daily addiction. Dead by Daylight is an asymmetrical game that, in principle, was developed only for PC, in 2016, and arrived without much fanfare, being considered even as a game indie. A few months later, the game was introduced to DLC (Downloadable Content, “'downloadable' content”, in free translation) The Halloween Chapter, bringing the famous Assassin Michael Myers from the movie franchise Halloween, as well as the Survivor laurie strode, which eventually caught the public's attention. Since then, it has gathered thousands of fans around the world!
Dead by Daylight is played in a game that usually lasts about thirty minutes and is made up of five players: four Survivors and one Killer. The purpose of Survivors is to repair generators scattered across the map and get enough power to open the gate and leave what is called "The Realm of the Entity". Meanwhile, the murderess aims to kill the four Survivors, injuring them, and when they can no longer stand, picks them up on the shoulder and puts them on hooks, a great reference to one of the scenes in the movie. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
It is possible to play in both positions, with the Assassin position being Lucas' favorite. DBD is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. It's worth checking out Lucas' tips in an amazing article about how to survive in Dead By Daylight.

Then we talk about The Dusk Falls, an interactive drama that arrives in the month of July to the delight of fans of narrative games. Showmetech has guaranteed an early code for a review that is already published on the site, so we already declare that it's a game!
The production is an adventure based on difficult choices that involve family, resilience and sacrifice, impacting two groups in the small Two Rock, Arizona City. The journey begins in 1998 and, according to what we decide for each controlled character, we face the consequences in people's lives. As its creator, Caroline Marchal, defines it, it's a story for everyone - gamers and non-gamers - who enjoy mature and deep narratives.

O card game (card game) Riot also appeared here! Lucas brought the Legends of Runeterra, where you can understand more about the characters that make up the universe of LoL and still practice the skills that every fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! dreamed of having. Similar to MOBA, here you use units to attack the enemy board, and when the opponent's life is zero, you win. Oh, we also talk a lot about how the company is assertive in its media strategies.

The first indication of the program made by Tutu is the podcast The Woman of the Abandoned House, which delves into the life story of a mysterious figure. A woman who lives in a mansion in the neighborhood of Higienópolis, one of the richest corners of São Paulo, and introduces herself as Mari. However, Mari is not who she says she is.
That's what reporter Chico Felitti discovers, in a six-month investigation that is highly praised by critics, including Arthur Pieri. He emphasizes that it is good content even for those who are not addicted to investigative works, as the way the story unfolds involves the listener without “criminal” artifices, so to speak. O mystery is the big star of the show.

Letícia's second nomination is the HBO miniseries, Irma Vepi. Alicia Vikander, our latest Lara Croft in the film world, plays a high-profile American actress in Hollywood who is tired of making superhero movies. Because of this, she accepts to participate in an experimental project in Paris, led by a renowned filmmaker, who is directing a remake of the French silent film classic – The vampires.
Making extensive use of metalanguage, Irma Vep is an acidic glimpse behind the scenes of entertainment, where nowadays, everything is a remake of a remake. Ah, it is worth mentioning that the work reached 100% approval in the Rotten Tomatoes with only four episodes released.

The last topic of the day is the doubtful Jurassic World: Domain. The experience was lived by Tutu in the cinema, without many negative comments, except for the plot that was too scientifically extrapolated. Four years after the destruction of the Isla Nublar, humans had to learn to live alongside the dinosaurs. As might be expected, not all reptiles can live in harmony with our species. Is it worth it? Well, despite a lot (Chris Pratt), everyone involved in the conversation seems to be willing to take a peek at the film because of the presence of Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill.
