There are three basic steps to unlocking windows on your cell phone, let's get to them!

Step 1: Activate bluetooth on your mobile

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the settings options.
  2. Go to “All settings” / “Settings” and select “Devices” / “Devices”.
  3. Select “Bluetooth” and turn the small switch to On.

Step 2: Pair your computer with your phone

  1. Go to “Start” / “Start”.
  2. Select “Settings” / “Settings” and go to “Devices” / “Devices”.
  3. Select “Bluetooth & other devices” / “Bluetooth & other devices”.
  4. Click the switch to turn on the computer's Bluetooth.
  5. Now select “Add Bluetooth or other device” / “Add Bluetooth or other device”.
  6. Please click Bluetooth and the computer will start searching for bluetooth devices in the vicinity.
  7. When your mobile has been found, select it and click “Pair” or “Connect”
    • You may be asked to enter your cell phone PIN, if so, enter the correct cell phone PIN so that the two devices can be paired.
  8. When your device is paired, complete the process and close the window.

3 – Activating Dynamic Lock

  1. Right click on “Start” / “Start”
  2. Go to “Settings” / “Settings” and select “Accounts” / “Accounts”
  3. Click on “Sign-in Options” / “Sign-in Options” and check the checkbox for the  Dynamic lock 
    • If you don't find the checkbox at first, you may have to open a small Scroll-Down menu.
  4. Ready! Dynamic Lock is activated and you can now lock and unlock windows just by taking the phone away from the computer.

Now your PC is paired with your smartphone and Dynamic Lock is active. As soon as you leave your PC's bluetooth range, Windows will count 30 seconds and lock the system automatically. A great way to ensure that whenever you leave your PC your system is not exposed.

Be aware if someone has access to the PC or notebook before the end of the 30 seconds, this person will be able to use the equipment normally. Also, if you leave your PC but don't take your cell phone with you, obviously the system won't block, given that the smartphone remains within the computer's bluetooth reading range. So, one more reason to carry your cell phone in your pocket.
