New LG Signature OLED line arrives in Brazil this Wednesday

A LG's Signature OLED range is ready to arrive in Brazil with the B7 and E7 series. The two new models of ultra-thin televisions come to reinforce the team of lighting technology per pixel, which has been the big bet of the South Korean company in terms of TV technology in the last year.

The models have such minimal thickness that, as LG itself made a point of pointing out at the device's launch events around the world, it is capable of leaving the viewer in doubt if what he is seeing is a TV or a painting. O showmetech accompanied the first presentation of the TV Wallpaper at CES 2017.

With less then 4 mm thick, the models were made to meet the main objective of the combine cutting-edge technology with design, capable of hooking architects and clients not only for the quality of the product but also for the beauty and practicality of having a television that serves the frame paths.

In May of this year, the showmetech went to Punta Cana participate in the LG InnoFest and took the opportunity to check closely all the news promised by the company for the market, such as Smart TVs, white goods and even robots. Igor Krauniski, LG's product manager for Brazil, and Barbara Toscano, executive marketing manager of the South Korean, raised the ball during the press conference with Brazilian journalists that the technology OLED will, for now, be reinforced here by the E7 and B7 models, but said that the company is still studying the possibility of bring the W line, of the TVs that became known as “Wallpaper”, to complete the Brazilian OLED team.

Check out this and other highlights from the press conference:

Design and Technology

Igor Krauniski: “We did a study that shows that televisions up to 4 mm hanging on the wall make the consumer have the impression that there is no product there. We lose the reference of what is real or not because the levels of contrast, brightness, and color are so optimized that they give this illusion. The uniqueness of OLED of being able to individually separate the illumination of each pixel of the display is so incredible that it allows all this and puts it a step ahead of the industry.”

experience of table

Barbara Toscano: “Such complexity appears to be difficult for the consumer, but LG did the exact opposite of that, we made it easier to access and interact with the product. We wanted to help with the experience of the corner of the room, so that the consumer can sit on the couch and share the same content with several people. In a moment with so much individuality, we try to understand the consumer, their behavior, and bring something that they can share with friends.”

OLED vs other technologies

Igor Krauniski: “The great power of OLED is light, it is light in perfect darkness. Having the ability to individualize pixels and deliver color and light only where you need it, called dimming. Unlike LCD, in which the lighting is done by blocks of pixels and, in a super sophisticated screen, it has about 150 blocks, OLED TVs have 8,3 million pixels that are individually illuminated. LED is not a light bulb, they are organic particles that, when stimulated, emit their own light. These nanoparticles also filter out excess light and do not let it pass to much purer colors.”

Audio

Igor Krauniski: “We have not only the best picture, but also the best sound. The Dolby Theater system consists of Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and cinema seats. What is missing for us to have a movie theater at home is the armchair, because the rest is all built into the TV.”

Durability

Igor Krauniski: “According to Brazilian regulations, to be considered good, a television needs to keep at least 50% of its video reproduction, assuming that the viewer spends 8 hours a day in front of the TV. On these bases, OLED works for 100 hours, one of the longest lifetimes of a product meeting these criteria.”

Pricing

The line Signature OLED B7 starts from 10.999 reais, while the Signature OLED E7, from 29.999 reais.
