An almost online card
O type is one of the biggest competitors in the Nubank and operates in a similar way. All invoice handling and other services are done via the app. There is no physical branch, even though it is the result of a partnership between Bradesco and Banco do Brasil. Everything takes place via smartphone, from requesting the card to discussing for a higher limit.

This news is not even new, as the app is already rolling out on smartphones Android e iOS some time ago. What changes is that the company promised some news, even with the official launch scheduled for today. One of them is the Digio Store, which will function as a service store for the customer. According to Carlos Giovane, executive director of Digio, the list of possibilities includes insurance services such as smartphone screen break protection and even a rewards program.
What's really cool is that Digio will arrive quickly at Samsung Pay. The executive commented that the addition of the card to Samsung Pay is scheduled for the first quarter of next year. According to him, the Samsung tool was chosen precisely because it does not have extra costs. Apple Pay, for example, charges a fee for the transaction that is made with it.
Today, the financial institutions that are on Samsung Pay are: Santander, Caixa, Banco do Brasil, Porto Seguro and Brasil Pré-Pagos cards. Itaú, NuBank and Bradesco are still included as “coming soon”. During the launch of the platform, Samsung commented that these other partners would enter in a maximum of 60 days. Something that hasn't happened until now, four months later.
