DJI launches Mavic Air, the compact and powerful drone

DJI, one of the largest drone manufacturers in the world, today launched a new drone model. O DJI Mavic Air aims to position itself among the models Mavic Pro e Spark on the market.

If you need a drone that has a great camera and still doesn't take up much space, the new Mavic Air might be the best option.

With a camera that shoots in super high resolution, it's perfect for content creators. Its 1/23 inch sensor allows it to record videos in 4K at 30 frames per second. The maximum bit rate here is 100 Mb / s. If you want to shoot in slow motion, it is also possible, as the model shoots at up to 120 frames per second in 1080p.

For videographers on the go: the Mavic Air's wide-angle camera is 24mm and has an f/2.8 aperture. Finally, it captures images of 12 megapixels in normal mode and 32 megapixels in panorama mode. some algorithms HDR are present as well, leaving the images sharper and with better balance.

It does not stop there. The new model of DJI It has a new ventilation system that will fight overheating. That is, you only care about the creative part. Oh and, let's not forget about the image stabilizer included in the camera: the 3-axis. It has 3 axes of stabilization with shock absorbers.

At half the size of Mavic Pro, Mavic Air It is also 41% lighter than its brother, weighing just 430 grams. Keeping that in mind, he can fly for about 21 minutes straight at a maximum distance of 4 km. And don't be fooled by the size, as it can reach a top speed of 68,4 km/h in Sport mode.

The drone also has an internal memory of 8 GB, which will basically serve to save images captured during the flight. The connection with the PC is made through the already included connector USB Type-C or through the card slot microSD.

To control the Mavic Air, you have two options: via gestures on your smartphone (up to 150 m away) or via your remote control redesigned (up to 4 km). You will be able to promote the “analogs” of the control and keep them in a compartment present in your own body.

O automatic flight is also present here, having the modes ActiveTrack, Quick shots, Smart Capture e TAPFLO. Inside Quick shots there are two modes: Asteroid e Boomerang. In short, they serve to give more fun effects to your videos and provide features to increase riding safety.

costing US$ 799 and being compatible with DJI Goggles, the Mavic Air will come in colors: Onyx Black, Arctic White e Flame Red. This price makes it a mid-range model compared to the Spark and Mavic Pro.

However, the official price of Brazil has not yet been released, although we know that it will arrive in the country in March.
