We are used to finding machine that makes coffee, beer, soda and even ice cream. The only thing missing was the one that produces alcoholic drinks. And that's exactly what the drinkworks did. The company, which is a a joint venture from Keurig and AB InBev, launched the Drinkworks Home Bar, a capsule machine capable of producing more than 20 types of drinks, including beer, mojito, margarita, gin, cosmopolitan, sangrias, tonic water, Stella Artois Cidre cider and others.

The machine prepares drinks in three sizes: 115 ml, 192 ml and 240 ml and the production time varies from 30 to 60 seconds – a Moscow mule takes 50 seconds to be ready, for example. Another interesting point of Drinkworks Home Bar is that she already delivers the cold drink, however, they still recommend including some ice cubes to make it “more authentic”. To taste, just choose the drink, insert the capsule and press the button.
The cartridges of Drinkworks Home Bar have ingredients for each drink and their respective alcohol level. The capsules (called Drinkworks Pod) have a bar code and the machine itself scans to obtain the information, define the refrigeration and carbonation of each one of them. In addition, according to the company, the Drinkworks Pod has real ingredients and natural flavors. As with coffee, the user must remove the capsules already used.

On the website it is possible to check more information about each one of them and even suggestions of dishes to match the drink.
Control Drinkworks Home Bar from your mobile
Using your cell phone, you can make the drink, enable refill requests, check cleanliness and request support. The machine allows pairing with a device iOS (Apple). It can also be configured via a touchscreen, hence without the need to open the app. For Android the release should be soon.

According to the website Cnet, opting for four beers, the consumer will have to pay US$ 10 (R$ 39,25). Now, a box containing four packages of cocktails is more expensive: US$ 16 (R$ 62,80). The package with two cans of carbon dioxide costs US$ 15 (R$ 58,88). This amount yields 30 drinks.
In the United States, it is sold in a few regions, but the company makes a pre-sale available on its website. The price there is US$ 299,00 (approximately R$ 1.172,00 without tax). There is still no forecast for Drinkworks Home Bar to arrive in Brazil.
