After a long wait, the trailer for the solo series from Obi-Wan Kenobi was finally revealed in Investor Day Disney this Wednesday, 09, and marked the return of Ewan McGregor in the role of the protagonist. The series is one of the main bets of the Disney+ service for 2022 and arrives with high expectations for fans of the Star Wars universe.
In this article we will make a selection of the main easter eggs, references, special appearances and everything most important shown in the trailer.
Duel of Fates and a lot of emotion
The Star Wars franchise is known for its glorious clashes, outstanding characters in pop culture, great machines and distinct alien races, but if there's one factor that sets this saga apart from the rest, it's its spectacular soundtrack.
The trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi starts simply with the Homeric Duel of Fates, a track created specifically for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 1999 by none other than John Williams — the Jedi master who composed the best soundtracks for Hollywood — and who even returns to this production to work on unreleased tracks.

In addition to being considered a classic, Duel of Fates has an important meaning for the trajectory of the character played by Ewan McGregor in the 1999 feature. The music is present at the climax of the film, during the epic battle between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui- Gon Jinn versus Darth Maul.
Luke Skywalker!!!

As much as the character lived by Mark Hamill is already getting a little saturated after appearing in the second season of The Mandalorian and in The Book of Boba Fett, the great protagonist of the Star Wars universe will appear in the Obi-Wan series. Or rather, there must be some scenes out there, but nothing too deep, since in the series the young padawan is still a small child.
Either way, it will be interesting to see how Obi-Wan became this “guardian” for the future Jedi Master as he needed to survive the dreaded Galactic Empire.
Joel Edgerton again!

At the end of the third film The prequel from Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith, Obin-Wan delivers newborn Luke to a couple on Tatooine. The couple consisted of young Owen Lars, played by Joel Edgerton, who would gain more notoriety in Hoollywood years later, and Beru Lars, played by Bonnie Piesse.
It is to be expected that the couple will have an interesting highlight in the series, due to their proximity to the young Skywalker. The main scenes should be on account of Edgerton, who can serve as an ally of Obi-Wan.
The Inquisitors

To be honest, the trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi showed more villains and threats than Obi-Wan himself, and a group of characters that deserves an important highlight: the Inquisitors. These unsympathetic characters may have ties to the Force, with a mission to hunt down every Jedi who survived Order 66.
The Obi-Wan series will take place 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, and, consequently, after the proliferation of Order 66. Therefore, the main enemies of the Jedi Master must be up to this order of the Inquisitors.

The main highlights go to the Inquisitor Reva (Moses Ingram), who must be the main thorn in Obi-Wan's side, while the great mentor behind the hunt must stay with The Grand Inquisitor. Trained simply by Darth Vader himself, The Grand Inquisitor will be a formidable adversary for our protagonist and appears playing terror with his red lightsaber in the trailer.
The fortress at Nur

The trailer also gave a quick glimpse into the large Inquisitors' base located in planet Nur, which is actually a Water Moon. In the place there is the dreaded Fortress of the antagonists. This headquarters first appeared in the game Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, which also features the Inquisitors as main villains.
Han Solo?

While there's no confirmation that the beloved character will return to screens, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to imagine an appearance from Han Solo in Obi-Wan Kenobi. A certain passage even points to a hooded and reclusive character in the shadows against Inquisitor Reva, holding a blaster that is very reminiscent of the one used by Solo.
If Disney hid a Luke Skywalker, the biggest character of the saga, in the final episode of The Mandalorian during the second season, we can easily assume that Han Solo appears in the Obi-Wan series with the CGI technology used to rejuvenate actor Mark Hamill without that he needed to record scenes or lines for the production.
Just think: the end of an episode with Obi-Wan injured, about to be killed by Inquisitor Reva, when suddenly Han Solo and Chewbacca show up to save the Jedi's skin. Chilling, no?
A new planet full of neon

With the Inquisitors arriving on Tatooine, it's possible that Obi-Wan Kenobi will try to divert the villains' attention from bumping into little Luke. For this, the protagonist will travel to a location not yet explored in the universe, the planet Dayu.
According to information from screenwriter Joby Harold in an interview with EW, Dayu is considered like a Hong Kong in Star Wars, full of neon, lights and a very energetic nightlife. We can expect a beautiful picture of this scenario, in addition to some very stylish fights.
Darth Vader

Finally, the trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi ends with the official logo of the production, Duel of Fates at full volume and the imposing sound of the breath of the greatest villain of all time: Darth Vader. Previous information has already pointed out that Obi-Wan will not only face Vader once, but TWICE.
The icing on the cake is the return of Hayden Christensen, the Anakin Skywalker of prequels, the “first Darth Vader”, if we consider the timeline of the films. Even though Christensen or Vader doesn't appear in the trailer, the character's breath alone makes the upcoming series more than special.
So, what did you think of these highlights from the Obin-Wan Kenobi series? The production arrives exclusively on Disney+ on May 25.
