Elden Ring is delayed to February 25, 2022

One of the most anticipated games of recent years, Elden Ring is postponed by one month. With the release previously scheduled for January 21, 2022, now. according to new information released by Bandai Namco, the launch will take place on February 25th.

According to the message posted on Twitter by Bandai Namco's official profile in Brazil:

ELDEN RING will be released on February 25, 2022, due to the depth of the game exceeding initial expectations. Thank you for your trust and patience. We look forward to having you try out the game during the November closed testing period.

And as per the post, fans can make a register on the company's official website and compete for a chance to participate in a closed testing period. Registration will be open until November 1, 2021, and the player will be able to choose between four platforms: PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X.

In all, there will be five test sessions available:

Session 1 – November 12 (Friday) from 19:00 to 22:00 (Brasilia Time)
Session 2 – November 12 (Friday) from 13 pm to 2 am (Brasilia Time)
Session 3 – November 13 (Saturday) from 15:00 pm to 19:00 pm (Brasilia Time)
Session 4 – November 14 (Sunday) from 07:00 am to 10:00 am (Brasilia Time)
Session 5 – November 14 (Sunday) from 23:00 am to 2:00 am (Brasilia Time)

Elden Ring was born from the collaborative effort of director and writer Hidetaka Miyazaki, known for his work on the Dark Souls saga, and George RR Martin, author of A Song of Ice and Fire, who hosted a television series called Game of Thrones. The game will take players to the lands of the Lands Between to witness the events following the destruction of the previous Elden Ring. With that, it's up to the protagonist to become the next bearer of the Elden Ring.
