The future is now. New technologies that were once just a subject for science fiction movies are starting to be part of our daily lives little by little, and although some go unnoticed and arrive slowly, others still attract attention.

One of these technologies is implantation of chips in humans, something that already happens in some places, but has not yet become popular.

But apparently, and if it depends on some UK companies, this will not take long. they intend put chips in your employees and a company called Bio Teq may be responsible for this implementation.

According to reports from the Guardian, it is one of several that already work with this possibility of implementing microchips in humans and many others are already studying joining these services.

Microchips will be used to make life easier for employees

The implantation of microchips in the employees of a company can be advantageous in several aspects. For starters, they would enjoy the convenience of having access to the place where you work and various components like computers without much effort.

They would also serve as a kind of internal automatic badge, even being able to control the time that passes in the company.

Another use for the microchip it would be access to financial transitions within the company in the sense of purchase, such as drinks and food in cafeterias that are part of the place or even the vending machines.

How will they be?

From what has already been reported, the microchips will be very similar to those implanted in pets. It is the size of a grain of rice and is located between your thumb and forefinger. The process to deploy the device is very fast, just a few seconds.

Remembering that countries like Australia and Sweden already adopt this practice for interested citizens, and they can even buy train tickets with the chip implanted. The BioTeq founder has already informed that they have already imported chips to other countries such as Spain, France, Germany, Japan and China.

In the case of companies, the implantation of the chip not compulsory, will be an employee's choice. But not everything is rosy, and as might be expected, some groups are still against this practice. one of them is the Trade Unions Congress, who stated that he does not agree with the practice because this could be a way for the employer to control the employee in various ways, take away his privacy and even though it is a choice, as everyone puts it, employees would feel pressured to put also.

Whether this will happen for now or not remains to be seen, but it is certain that the possibilities for what can be done with the implementation of microchips in employees can be quite vast, and so it still raises several discussions.

Is that you? Do you think this might become popular soon, or does it feel more like just another script for Black Mirror? Stay tuned to Showmetech to find out more!
