Exclusive: Flaw makes it impossible to find location sent via WhatsApp in the Maps app

But in the last few weeks, many people have had problems opening the addresses sent through the WhatsApp in app Maps Of google.

At first we thought it was a localized problem, but apparently the bugs happens every time someone sends a location to Android OS users. When clicking on the address, Maps simply goes to a location in the middle of the ocean and displays the phrase “No results found for…”.

The team at showmetech made tests with smartphones of different brands and they all got the same error. If the user chooses to use another app to open the location, such as Waze, the problem does not recur and the address can be viewed.

If you use Web WhatsApp it is also possible to open the address in Google maps via browser. That is, the problem only occurs when using the Google Maps application all with Android.
