For years the Facebook receives requests to create a button “don't like”. It wasn't created until then because the company always saw it as a tool that could generate hate and negativity among users.
However, Zuckerberg said it is complicated "Like" a post about the Syrian refugee crisis, for example, or the news of the death of a friend's relative.
This is precisely why the new button will not be available in all posts and will serve to express condolences on the news of someone's death, loss of job or other unpleasant situations.
O “don't like” can be used by users to show empathy and solidarity. The new feature is being tested by the team at Facebook and should arrive soon for some users of the social network.
There is still no answer on how the functionality will affect the reach of publications on Facebook. Currently, the number of likes directly impacts the amount of people who will see posts from profiles and pages.
