With a launch date in Brazil scheduled for August 10th, 2023, the long-awaited film by Gran Turismo finally got a preview. THE Sony took advantage of his visit to the great technology fair to release a video of just over one minute with behind-the-scenes footage and footage of the new film, which features the participation of well-known names by the public. Gran Turismo movie is based on true story
Considering the events of the first game in the franchise, released in 1997, a part of the screenplay for the Gran Turismo will be based on the life story of Jann Mardeborough, who was born in 1991 and acts as a pilot until today. Jann started racing after growing up playing series titles Gran Turismo and, in a short time, already competed in events such as F3 European Championship.

At age 19, in 2011, he was champion of GT Academy, that prepares new talents for the automobile industry. In this championship, he competed with another 90 participants and won a race with the Nissan in Dubai 24 hours, which involves high resistance and pilot preparation.

Defined by its cast as a story with a lot of emotion, adrenaline and love, the feature film will hit the big screen with a high quality team. David Harbour will give life to a retired pilot who will teach the aforementioned protagonist how to stand out among the various competitors.

Orlando Bloom is responsible for being an executive interested in making money in the automobile market and sees potential in the newcomer. Already Darren barnet will be the great villain of the plot, since he is not at all happy to see the character of Madeweke achieve so much success in such a short career. Other names confirmed in the movie Gran Turismo include: Geri Halliwell, Djimin Hounsou and Thomas Kretschmann.
The direction will be Neill Blomkamp, with production of Jason Hall, Dana Brunetti, Carter Swan, Doug Belgrad and Asad Qizilbash.
