2022 is already in its final months, but the Samsung already preparing its new premium smartphone for the beginning of the year 2023. Scheduled for mid-February 2023, as has happened in previous years, the insider Ice Universe, known for leaking content from Samsung, posted a photo captured by the camera of Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The big news is the 200 MP main sensor on the back of the new cell phone, which, in practice, would allow the capture of more details and more light to enter. The insider also made a comparison with images taken by the camera of the Galaxy s22 ultra and Google Pixel 7 Pro, of the same object. Look:

The definition of “quality photo” can vary a lot from user to user, but it is possible to notice that the new Galaxy s23 ultra manages to deliver colors “closer” to what we see in real life. The good result is not only given by the new sensor, but also by the image processing that the Samsung can do on their smartphones. These other three photos show how the three smartphones' cameras manage to perform when taking closer shots:

What is known about the new Galaxy S23 lineup?
If Samsung follow the standard schedule for launching new models in the Galaxy S line, the new smartphones should be announced somewhere in February 2023 and the three variants arrive in Brazil by the beginning of March.
Little is known about the new features, but it is almost certain (in fact, this is the most reliable information) that the processor of the new premium models is the Snapdragon 8 Gen2, announced by Qualcomm in November 2022.

Information about the screens is also minimal, but we can expect that the Samsung keep investing in models with an average size of 6 inches and FHD + resolution, as seen in the 2022 models. The price is also a great mystery, but it is worth remembering that the Galaxy S22 line was launched in Brazil from R$ 5.399.
In addition to the possible 200 MP sensor in the variant Ultra, it is not known what other types of cameras would be in the new smartphones of the most advanced line of the Samsung🇧🇷 In 2022, normal and Plus variants were released with a 10MP front camera and three lenses on the rear:
- Rear 1 (Wide): 50 MP, f/1.8, 24mm (wide), 1/1.57″, 1.0µm, multi-directional PDAF, OIS;
- Rear 2 (Ultra Wide): 12 MP, f/2.2, 13mm, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.55″ 1.4µm, Super Steady video;
- Rear 3 (Telephoto): 10 MP, f/2.4, 70mm (telephoto), 1/3.94″, 1.0µm, PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom.
The most complete version, which was also responsible for discontinuing the line Galaxy Note after a series of user reviews, it was released with the following cameras:
- Front: 40 MP, f / 2.2, 26mm (wide), 1 / 2.8 ″, 0.7µm, PDAF
- Rear 1 (Wide): 108 MP, f/1.8, 24mm (wide), 1/1.33″, 0.8µm, PDAF, Laser AF, OIS
- Rear 2 (Ultra Wide): 12 MP, f/2.2, 13mm, 120˚ (ultrawide), 1/2.55″, 1.4µm, dual pixel PDAF, Super Steady video
- Rear 3 (Telephoto 1): 10 MP, f/2.4, 70mm (telephoto), 1/3.52″, 1.12µm, dual pixel PDAF, OIS, 3x optical zoom
- Rear 4 (Telephoto 3): 10 MP, f/4.9, 230mm (periscope telephoto), 1/3.52″, 1.12µm, dual pixel PDAF, OIS, 10x optical zoom.
Don't expect the Samsung make one downgrade regarding their new models. The company must invest even more in photography technologies to try to deliver the best device on the market. We can only wait for more information in the coming months.
